Hello, Im looking to totally transform my s14 into the beauty that is an s15 silvia native to japan. Does anyone know good reliable and quality places where i can get the parts shipped to me? I live in Hawaii, so ill have to get everything done here. I want to get the silvia s15 spec-R seats in particular and a good conversion kit. I have the money, and i want to do this right. any suggestions would be most helpful. I'm also wondering what the main difference is between the sr20det redtop and blacktop if anyone can answer that please.

If you're going to make it into an "S15", don't go getting an S13 motor. Get an S15 motor.

Not worth. For the money You will spend to convert, You can have one imported with legal sh1t. Redtops and blacktops only came in S13's - blacktop is never. There were no redtops in s14's nor in s15's. Loose this idea and just build a S chassis from bottom up. Even if You import S15, there's a big chance it might get crushed, if You get pulled over, so, it's not worth to dump $15.000+ or so down the drain.

thanks guys but that doesnt really answer my questions. i was just curious. i dont plan on swapping my motor. the s15 conversion is purely cosmetic. im not gonna change anything under the hood.

Alot of people here hate conversions so your gona have problems getting answers. Ill help you.

1. For parts you can look in a few places. You can do a regular search on google. But if you want real parts, look on ebay. Im not refering to looking for the cheap parts. You can find good, real parts on there, but there not cheap. Also there are some people on here that can find you amazing parts. But in my opinion, the best looking ones dont use fiberglass, they use metal. Also many people have told me that fiberglass fits like sh1t. this would mean your only choice is to go OEM, in my opinion. The inside shouldnt be impossible, but im not sure where you are going to find an S15 dash. They would be hard to come by. The one thing you cant change is your C pillar, well, without cutting and welding you cant change your C pillar. So you can do the headlights, and tail lights, but people will always know that your car is a S14 because of your back indow. I think it will be a good project, and I wish you the best of luck.

2. To the best of my knowledge, the only difference between redtop and block top is the year that they came. Black tops are newer. I could be wrong. I think in the tech pages here it says that.

Good luck, post pics if you do it!

Well for one, welcome to nico..and two the body lines are completely different so you can't turn an s14 into "the beauty that is an s15 silvia"

you can however get headlights, hood, fender, taillights and then get body work done to make it kinda look like an s15 but it's never gonna "totally transform" into an s15

thats retarded... S14s are the sexiest of the Silvia line up.. the zenki isnt that great but still looks better than most other cars..lol the S15 only looks good from the front and you can convert that..
