I like the look of my G without window tint.... But it is summer and I can't take the heat in the car without the window tint.

What is the darkest LEGAL that i can go... Any one have pics of their g with the windows tinted.

I think the darkes legal would be dark enough!

Looks like you're limited to 28% up front and 15% in the rear.

Tints add character to the car. I think mine are 15%. I'd have to double check my receipt. You have a G35 so cops usually wont mess with you. Only problem would come at inspection time.

Here is mine taken with a cheap cell phone.

Hello,I would highly recommend the Huper Optik ceramic film. AZHitman and Szhosain (M Mod) recommended it and the heat rejection is amazing. A little more expensive, but, truly amazing stuff. I too live in Florida and got 30 all around. Cheers,Mark

I really like the Tint on the G...

what does that special tint cost more than the regular tint?

Hello,In Sarasota, the Huper Optik tint cost $350.00. I think it is a little cheaper down here due to most everyone here having it done and increased competition. I have heard people paying as much as $500.00 for it.Cheers,M.L

Call up local tint shops. It would differ from geography.

Yup...high 4's for mine in NorCal but worth every penny imo.At time of my install, (~2yrs ago) heard Huper's was going to start offering 20%. Don't know if that's true or not yet. Huper's won't mess with your NAVI or SAT either...ceramic verses metallic film.

I'd really like to see detailed pics of this.

This would never fly in my town; cops would be all over that one.

I have 15% in the rear 3 windows... and it's illegal to tint the drivers side windows, but I'm going to add some 30% to the fronts...

Apparently, cops just want to see your face, and know you're not holding a sawed-off behind the privacy glass....

Anyway Tampa... go get some tint!! you'll find it cooler in the summer for sure!!! And the black on black on black is a real head turner.... trust me

I just called a shop that a customer of mine referred me too. (they did her lexus and did really good work!)

120 for the car with a stip on the front window.

I am going to put a film on that blocks 79% of the heat.

probably going with 15% all the way around.

What do you guys think about 15 all the way around or should I keep it Legal?

Ask them how much they'll charge to peel the 15% off and reapply 30% to the front windows when you get your first fix-it ticket... Make your decision based on that, because more likely than not, it'll happen eventually.

Also, if you ever get pulled over, roll down all your windows before you even get the car stopped, and turn on your overhead light if it's dark or you're pretty much guaranteed you'll get a ticket for something.. Cops HATE dark tinted windows, for the reason mentioned above.

Hello,Given we do not have inspections and 20 is legal in the back, you would probably be just fine. If you get a chance, go to a dealer that sells Huper Optik and check out the display. It is a box with a heat lamp in the middle. On each side is a different kind of tint going from no tint, dyed tint, metal tint, to Huper ceramic. You can honestly feel nothing on the ceramic side and very little with the metal tint. Cheers,M.L

DO IT!!!! I had my windows tinted last year. I liked them so much, i went and had my parents cars tinted too. Havent looked back since! I have 30% up front and 20% in the rear. Id stick legal on yours if it were me. I dont want any added reason for the cop to pull me over... BTW, i agree with CYO, i paid 150 for my tint at Ziebarts. I figured lifetime warranty at a national company made sense given the possibility of moving. Its been really good so far.

Hello,Huper does offer 20 now. I thought about getting it on the rear windows but ended up getting 30 all around. Another cool thing about the Huper film is that it has more of matte finish rather than a glossy look. This helps with nighttime driving.Cheers, mark
