These are not my cars, I am just showing you the rims I have, and the rims I want. This is not a M37S, just the regular one.

Here are the rims I have:

Then I want to lower the car about an inch or so.

From what I know, these rims are different size right? I went out and measured my rims and they came out to like 19.5" or something. I assume I will have to buy new tires to fit these rims. Sorry I'm just new to this, I've never swapped out rims on a car.

you are talking about getting the factory 20 inch sport rims that come with the sport pkg. A lot of people on here either use coilovers or springs, depending on how low you want to go. The sport rims will run you about 1200-2000 as I have seen them. Some of the other bruh's will chime in and point you in the right direction as well, btw, you can also check craiglist, ebay and some others as they might have someone selling these, gl

Thanks for the reply. That's alot of dough for them. Is it possible to sell the stock wheels I have on them now? Just curious who would even want to buy them.

You could try to put them on ebay/craiglist but pretty sure you want get any bites on them, if you don't sell them, you can always put your factory tires back on, in the winter that is depending on which part of the states you stay in,just an option. Keep us posted on ur wheel/tire hunt

Damn that sucks. I kinda figured it would be hard to sell them or would take a long time. Thanks for the info.

Oh and I live in Houston, TX. Winter here is basically just summer but kinda chilly.

Keep an eye on ebay for 20" OEM sport wheels. I got a good price by watching for a couple months. I was also able to sell my 18" wheels and tires (separately) pretty easy to off set the cost of the new wheels. I think its better to sell separately because more potential buyers. Sold my wheels to an M35 guy and tires to a Maxima guy.

Ok. I found a few, I assume for my black car I want the "sport silver" ones (the ones from the above photo). The chrome and gun metal seems like the ones I want to avoid. I just want them to match the original color of the ones I have.

Yeah the OEM silver might look best on a black car...although I have seen the OEM wheels in black chrome on a a black car and looked pretty good as well. I'm not really a fan of regular chrome on anything but black chrome is nice. Thought about switching my gunmetal out for black chrome on my white car but meh.

One more question. If I switched these out, what difference in performance would I see? Would the car be quicker/slower, would it ride differently, get different MPG, etc.?

I believe that many people report a stiffer ride and it all depends on the tires to give you more road grip. A friend of mine has an M37 and she mentioned that the fuel economy isn't a big difference but she is an aggressive driver so I'm sure with normal driving you would see the same as long as you don't have an M37x.

I'm planning on moving into an M37 next year sometime depending on how the new Maxima looks. I have been looking through various threads on here but not many people come or even comment. If you have been checking online, especially eBay and Craigslist, there are tons of wheels available in the 20" factory look (I'm in Houston as well so I've check the Craigslist here). There are some chrome and black chrome available as well.

Good luck.

If I switch out the tires/rims, can I just keep the same shocks/springs or whatever? And what kind of tire will give me the smoothest ride?

the 20's are summer tires and you will have a stiffer ride as mentioned above, and you will also hear just a little bit of road noise, our cars are known for this with the sport's pkg. You can keep your factory shock/springs unless you want to go aftermarket. There are many brands to chose from. Mine came with conti dws. Some other bruh's will chime in and point you in the right direction as well. hope this helps

If you are switching to the 20's I would definitely consider Eibach springs as many people with many different car brands have. They are great. Where I live it's summer all the time anyway so I know the summer tires all too well. I just don't like the factory tires that come on the vehicles. I think I will go back with Vredestein Sessantas. They worked pretty well. Does any have the black chrome wheels with pictures of them on their car. I wanted to see how they looked on Moonlight White.
