Ok great, i think a 1" spacer would be a bit much though don't you think? Do you have any pics of your car as it sounds like you have exactly the same setup as I am thinking about putting on.dm-ka wrote:What you're probably referring to is not the offset but the rim width.
To answer your question simply, yes it can be done and no wheel spacers needed.
Y33 can take some wide wheels, there is plenty of room in the wheel wells for some wide rims.
I'm currently running 18x8 in front and 18x9 in the back without any issues and they seem to be a little small (as far as width goes).
So yes, you could run 8.5 without any problems, but you would probably want some spacers if you want it to look anything close to flush.
ET25 will rub up front with any drop or decent wheel or tire width.dm-ka wrote:With 7.5 up front you would want to run spacers, if I'm not mistaken G37 wheels have the offset between 38-44 which is not the most agressive one out there. Maxnix is right offset in the 20's would be preferable.
If it were me though, I'd probably wouldn't bother with 7.5
Any idea what parts need to be replaced? more specifically in the rear, I want to do it myself and then bring it in to be aligned. What in the rear needs to be replaced and in the front for a 107K y33? trying not to spend money and only replace what is needed, Thanks so much!BadQ45t wrote:There are a number of rubber parts under there that need replacing over time. Front tension rods for sure wear out and there are rear ones that also wear out. You need to get a good mechanic under there to diagnose all the issues.
I have a bigger set of 19" rims on my 97' with spacers...I have run Bridgestone 050a Pole Positions and currently running Michelin Pilot Sports. I liked the ride quality of the Bridgestones a little better but the Michelins really ride nice but a bit noisy. I also ran Yokohama's on my older 17" and they were good for 10k and then sucked. Bridge or Mich are the way to go if you can afford to buy them. Get XL load rating for this heavy beast.
Could you possibly give me a reference number from the FSM 2000, page 20, RA section.BadQ45t wrote:There are a number of rubber parts under there that need replacing over time.
