Hi

I'm new to this forum and I'm looking to buy a 2004 G35 sedan, manual with leather, sunroof, black in color with 14K miles (one owner) and the sale price is $23,900

Is this a fair price for the car or too much?

Any help is appreciated.Thanks.

It's alright... there's still room to talk the price down... Since G37 is coming out.. you can probably use it as an excuse saying that the G35 becomes a discontinued car :P... I found one for $21500

Hi

I saw the car at Carmax and their price is fixed (no haggle). Although, the nice thing about this car is that it was sold in 4/2005 (service date), according to carfax. Therefore the warranty will last until 4/2009.

Have you tried Modern Nissan of Lake Norman? They have a large pool of used vehicles which includes Infiniti's in Gboro and Winston. I've been buying from them for years. Steve Barton is the used car manager I've delt with. However, black is a great color!! and if you want a stick, it might be hard to find one in black.

EVERYTHING is NEGOTIABLE !! (No Haggle) price is simply something to make you think that they are already giving you the best deal possible. If you have searched and cant find anything else, then after test driving car, (even if you are ok with paying this price) dont let the dealer know "you have to have it" you need to act as if you are not sure, and tell them you found one in another city for 1200 cheaper......if they want your business they will knock off at least 600 off the "no haggle" price.

when I was looking for mine, I made sure the dealer knew I HAVE OPTIONS, and that "I am buying me a G35 whether its from you or another dealership, and I will find the best deal"

another tip, after negotiating, I always tell them the other one is cheaper by X amount (example 400.00) then act as if I need to think about it....(even if there is not another one you are looking at, make them think there is)........at this point the dealer always sais, "you dont want it ? its ONLY a 400 difference.......which is when i tell him to repeat himself, and i tell him...."If it is ONLY a 400.00 difference, then knock it off, and you have a sale !" also any little knick or scrath you see...make a BIG DEAL out of it, they will know you like the car, but let him know the OTHER one didnt have as many scrathes....

I have done this same scenario when i bought my BMW (before the G), my wife's Titan, and 3 months ago when i bought my G35....works every time !!

Good Luck !
