I am looking for a way to update my obd2 scanner on a budget, since my current one beeps drive me crazy. I want a scanner that gives live data, most specifically coolant temp.

This scanner does that, but im curious how it actually updates and displays the info. Like would it re-display and take temp readings every couple seconds? Or does it just read and display the tehmp until the next time you push scan....

Id love to be able to see fuel trim and MAF readings and other cool shiz. But $100 is about my limit

Can I pull the trigger??

Since im just browsing ebay I like this one to, but its 3X the cost!!

It seems kinda vehicle specific for what vehicles it displays info for?? Very vauge, but says real time data and a nice blue backlight.

Id like to know if it would display my nissan ecu information that I need it to

hmmmmmm thats a fairly expensive side of my budget though to

There are some really cool OBDII add-ons that are really worthwhile. While I don't have the time to look at each of your links, I have seen some that are worth the money and give all sorts of good information. I have thought about buying what you're describing, I have never used one personally, but have heard very good things. I would advise more in depth research as impulse buying is usually regrettable. These things are handy, but I have only had experience with one system, but it was very positive.

Sounds like a good impulse buy, but something tells me its too good to be true. Im also scared about ebay. I have a scanner from pepboys or something, but its nowhere near capable of what this one is. It only reads/erases codes and reads MIL status, thats pretty much it. It was $100 (rip!) and now it only works half the time and I have to keep retrying until it works.

I want a better one but they're really expensive for good ones

Yeah, I think I'm going to buy one too. If that thing does half the things it says it does, its a steal.

Ok, so OBDII Does something cooler than OBDI. I'll still take my 20 extra hp with VTC and not complain.

I bought one last week after reading a good review on a local car board from someone else who bought one.
