I was wondering if purchasing a spoiler lip from ebay w/ 3m tape is a smart choice, is it sturdy and does it have its strength? Is that a smart choice cause thats 100 bucks while a oem Nissan with installation on is 550 which is sorta ridiculous. PLease help

Attention: Im talking about the rear lip On the back trunk , Thanks for the other help...

I have looked at the lip spoilers on ebay out of curiosity and don't really know what I think as of yet. I always try and read the sellers feed back and see what people have to say that purchase the product. I could only recall seeing a couple responses from Z customers and they were along the lines of... "Product was as described.." or something along those lines. I just don't know if I always trust the feedback thats on there. 3m tape should hold it up fairly good, if not go to your local hardware store and get some heavy duty stuff.

Personally I plan to get one of the Seibon front lip spoilers in carbon fiber. I have seen them anywhere from high $300 to high $400's depending on site etc...

very interesting... keep us posted im interested to hear about fitment issues and quality of materials. From the looks of it and price it could be a contender

I have a similar lip. As far as fitment, Its kinda tight around the corners, but it will fit. You just have to do one corner at a time. The hardware they give you needs slight customization. You will need to bend the brackets to be able to mount it on your bumper. It's better to put some 2side 3m tape under the center of the lip for better grip. Good Luck. I'll try to find the link to the site that has an install guide.

good stuff!!! I really like the way it looks on your car. This could be a good pick up. Sounds like I may be talking myself into it

Personally, i think it looks cleaner than the oem nismo lip. Notice how the oem nismo is kinda angled towards the center.http://mynismo.com/images/?id=2369The better, cleaner look would be the aerosync bumper. Only thing is, its frp, I've had bad experiences with fiberglass.http://images.google.com/imgre...a%3DN

Thanks, by the way!

If you like the Aerosync bumper, make sure you click the link

I would go full bumper, that's just me though.

sorry I got side tracked with the bumper.

I bought my car from the dealer. My rear wing is only installed by the 3M tape. It should be fine, I have taken my car in over excess of 120mph...spoiler stayed on. no probs...hope this helps

actually most trunk lip spoilers are attatched only using the 3M tape. Just make sure you clean all the contact surfaces with a cleaner that can remove oils and any wax, so the 3M tape can do its magic.

Yeah it's not like generic double sided foam 3M tape that you find in the store though. If memory serves me right its a special type of tape thats ultra mega adhesive.

EDIT: Here's the link.....you know if anyone ever needs to buy more?http://products3.3m.com/catalo..._html
