I want to do a crazy swap and ive seen it done just dont know what i need.

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

Nothing wrong with swapping in a SBC motor bro. Cheap and tons of aftermarket. An entire forged 383 stroker kit is $1200 through Summit, see if you can buy anything for the VH that cheap...

im looking at a complete forged eagle rotating assembly (crank, rods, pistons, bearings and rings) for about 1500 that should be good for 1khp, also doing twin turbo and lots of tire smoke.

my entire setup (including the car and engine) should cost me less than 4k.

it runs as of now and im only down about 2k. do THAT with ANYTHING else.

Your drivetrain will be more then 4Gs if you plan on anything 1000hp.

only unless i need a new block. 4blt main iron blocks are pretty stout.

itll never see that much power (maybe just for a dyno run) but im mostly doing it for preservations purposes. ill be happy with 5-600whp

and if you do a little shopping, these parts can be had for enarly nothing. but we'll see what develops.

end thread jack.

1000 hp is overkill. The car would never hook at full throttle. Plus the price of horse power isn't linear. 1000 HP is gonna be an EXSPENSIVE build. What are you going for mid 7's? If so is this a NHRA build or a toy?

I'm dumping 2500 into heads / cam/ tune on my LS, but the same spec cam on not so good of heads did 431RWHP and 403 RWT so i would guess 5%better so lets say 460ish RWHP is a 240sx at 2400 lbs. That alone scares me.

But 1000hp in the S chassis would be cool to see, but at the power plan making the chassis more like a frame and support the hell out of it so you dont have a pretzel when it hooks.

Best of luck but unless this is going to be a bracket NHRA car or similar 1000hp is to much.

the LT1 looks really clean int he S13 engine bay, better yet the Ls but that comes at a much higher cost
