so im gonna buy my first S13 hatch. ive been looking around and i sorta of wanna get something low *** hell (cost wise) seeing how im planning on doing my second RB25det swap on a S chassis. i came across this on 240sx thats by my house. it is super hicas type 240. now here comes my question. my first swap i had done on a 96 s14 for my buddy. i know i can do to an s13. so im not very familiar with the whole hicas and super hicas things i just know that they are a what some may say, 4 wheel steering. will this super hicas make my life a little more complicated on the swap? the car will be DD and a week end drifter (yea i started drifting 3 yrs ago w/ my old AE86, so i got the basics and little more). ive heard that these super hicas can complicate my drifting unless i lock the hicas or some **** like that. ive also heard that these super hicas series are hard to come by. i found this white one, but i wanted your guys comments and thought on the pricing for this car. i will put the link so you can check it out. check out the two other 240's. im not really into coupes unless i know for sure ill make it a silvia. let me know what you guys think and advice is greatly appreciated. thanks. oh and a nice warm welcome to a new nico club member would be pretty cool too. hhahaha. thanks guys, ive heard good stuff about you guys and i hope to have a good experience with you guys too.

the link to the car. oh sorry for such a long post. :http://www.fengauto.com/detail...00441

you can buy like a plate or something that deletes the Hicas. I would reccomend doing that if you want to drift..

i was thinking that too. 3800 is too much. its just that i want something clean with no major a-s-s dents with a pretty clean interior and intact interior. also i know i want it for drift but with that rb25det i want to be able to hit the track once every blue moon. i just want it to be a sorta of sleeper and be able to take on a couple imprezas, evos, and flame a couple stangs. well im still open to ideas and thoughts on a couple 240's around chicago area. i wanna get this rb going winter 08 ready for spring/summer of 09.

i dont know if your interested or not.. but i just bought a '90 240 sx with a ka24det swap from a '95.. its having a little trouble with the engine but if your going to do a swap then that should be fine.. the exterior is in very good condition for that old of a car.. the only bad thing is that the interior is gutted except for the dash.. carpet.. and front seats.. but it does look like a sleeper.. its yours for $1800

im not 100% sure whats wrong with it.. it may be as simple as replacing a fuel injector or getting it timed right.. it didnt run at all for a while but i finally got it to start and it will crank but doesnt run good at all

yea man i was siked about SR swap but i started doin research i saw it was very common over here in the states. i didnt know there were that many sr swap over here in illinois. so ive been doing research a little research and i think an arby is the way to go. plus nothing beats that skyline sound. closest ill ever get to a skyline seeing how im only 17 lol. lucky my dad had his own transmission shop. i started drivin at the age of 9. i was hittin tracks with my dad and his buds wen i was 13. but yea man. hey i have a question for you. how much did you end up spending just on the swap and getting it to run good for a while. i was looking at a thread and the dude was suggesting replacing little S H ! T like water pumps, oil pump, timing belt and all that type stuff. i only got like 6k to play with.

I have a car that you may be interested in. Im in Mobile, AL and do not have the car posted for sale but I would sale it.

90 240sx hatch. Full drift suspension. Gab Front/JIC rear. The rears are in fact 8 way, with height adjustment. I have toe links, t bars, and a VLSD in it already. I took the motor out but it already has the RB20 mounts installed from McKinnley. They're about 2 years old which puts them in the time frame that McKinnley was doing top notch work. Has the wiring harness, tach and speedo work propery. AutoMeter boost gauge, sitting in the center air vent with the 3 pod mount. Complete interior minus radio. Car is rust free and is currently primer'd like my DD RB20.

Id take 2k for everything thats is on the car, all it needs is a good rb and you're rolling.
