Default Trying to buy a 350z
Hey guys,
I recently discovered the many virtues of the Z and have a burning desire to get one! I'm 17 years old and just recently bought an '05 V6 Mustang from a dealer for a really good deal.
The Mustang is convertible, something that made me very weary of buying it as I do not like the look. The main reason I settled is because it is so hard to find a standard nowadays, and that's what I wanted.
Anyways, as summer is rolling around, this would be the ideal time to try and sell the car and purchase a Z. Like I said, its a standard 05 convertible. It has 95,000 miles, which I understand is high, but we also purchased a one year extended warranty and the car was purchased from a respectable dealer.
So here is my question. How realistic is it for me to break even selling my car and purchasing a base '03 Z with similar mileage? I still owe my father about 1800 on the car, so I would like to avoid any further debt.
I understand expectations may be completely unrealistic, but the book values of the two cars are at least similar. Let me know what you think of the plan. All honest answers are appreciated, even if they aren't what I want to hear.
Thanks in advance for your help!
