This is a back burner/long term project for me as well, but I'm gonna keep/add some serious era-appropriate car audio. I've already got a Phoenix Gold MS-275 amp. Would jump on a Special Edition PG from that time if I can find it. I'll just keep adding poines to offsett the weight of the stereo system .

The car itself is sturdy enough. If you want, I can send you schematics for all the extra bracing a convertible gets. It still feels a bit on the floppy side, but not as bad as people keep saying. A good rollbar will fix it though.
