So I'm selling some used, forged pistons on eBay. I've gotten a few emails now from people saying general douchey s***, alluding to the idea I'm asking too much, or that they're in too poor of condition to sell. I've never bought, nor have I ever seen, used forged pistons for sale before, so I didn't have anything to base my pricing off of. What do you guys think? I hate to just throw them in the recycling pile, as they are completely useable, but maybe there just isn't a market for it. Or maybe I'm just letting the trolls get to me? What do you guys think?

They look like they are in decent shape. Figure new they are $600ish new. They are going to need rings at about $150 or so, so I'd guess they are a touch on the high side. Just keep in mind your typical CA buying demographic too. There's always the don't like the price then don't buy them.

I don't think you're asking for too much because they are your pistons and that's the price you set. When someone over-bores their engine, they want to start out with new parts and unfortunately, yours are used. So unless you find a "chump" I meant buyer that needs to replace his 84mm slugs (supply and specific demand), then you may not be able to move them; especially with the compression height you are claiming. CA18ers are cheapsters by nature, so if these were 83mm slugs, then they'd be all over this.

Yea, the 83.5mm was a mistake on CP's part way back when I had them made. They were SUPPOSED to be 84mm. The spec sheet said they were 84mm, but when you actually measured them, they were for an 83.5mm bore. You're right about the CA folks being cheap though. Well, the listing only cost $.40 cents, so if they don't sell, I'll throw them in the recycling.

If the compression was lower, I would buy these in a heartbeat.

LOL, so nevermind. I just found out the emails I got were from a couple of friends of mine that were screwing with me, LOL!
