guys, seriously. I am fed up. I hate my wheels LOL i want an upgrade. a range of around $1500 even used. (farfetched for new, but id be fine with med profile 18's)

Ive thought about either qx56 wheels (already discussed, just need to bore them out)

or this style

http://www.cardomain.com/membe...l.jpg

ive asked it before, theres new members now though

ANYBODY know good places that sell SUV wheels and rims in the GTA!!!! id freakin love to throw some on before the winter and put the stocks back on when the snow comes. With all the money i want to spend on preventative maintenance, gotta touch up some paint spots, and a possible sound system....this dream might not happen until next year

good thing i only got 111,000kms and going strong! i love my baby!

That link didn't work for me. But I too was gonna make a new topic about rims. May we share this one?

I just have a few questions about rims. I think I read something like the backspacing has to be no more than 4 or something idk what that means I tried to research it but i got too lazy. My 99.5 stock wheels are 16x8 I'm guessing so I'd like to stay the same size.

I found a few rims I'd like for the pathy:

Rebel Racing Sahara:Offset: 13mmPrice: $85 ea.

American Racing Mojave:Offset: 0mmPrice: $170 ea.

Thats the look I like anyway, simple and elegant. I'm hoping to lift my pathy and get 31'' tires to and I think these wheels will compliment my truck well.

As for you Qxxx4 I can't help you cause I'm not a canadian, and I hate 18'' rims lest there on cars.

i too like the big tires....like fuelers mudstars...very nice. He knows his stuff when it comes to those. as for me i dont do any offroading I live in the city so this is my urban assault vehicle. I want something a little bigger but i want medium profile tires not lo pros i think those look dumb on suv's.

i have been considering trading in the mudstars for a lower-profile set of general grabber UHP's... mud terrains are way loud on the freeway

lot of money though

I'd be more apt to get nice looking steelies, no more than 16" . . maybe some cheaper aluminum. . to me, any mods to an SUV should be to make it perform off the pavement better, but I do live in Indiana, and I'm probably a bit of a redneck.

where i live, theres no such thing as off road. So i consider my q an urban assault vehicle. LOL i dont want BLING rims, just something to fill in those wheel wells a little better with less tire. medium profiles with some decent rims. 99QX4's (the girl with the two tone q that we all are jealous of, and that gorgeous white G) has 17 inch enkeis....aluminum looking not chrome...they look great.

i agree her rims do look good.

i think if i was to go fro an upgrade i would be looking in the same direction she went but try to get some wide tires so they stick out a bit with a little higher ride, i really like that look.

Absofrickenlutely Spot-On Chap! I love that look too, I wanna get wheel spacers before this winter. Just cause. I found some wheel spacer company H&R I think there out of Great Britain or something they call those rubber things "tyres" HA!

Since I had a major blowout on Saturday night/Sunday morning I had to buy new tires today (Goddamnit were they expensive!), but I just got the same tires I had (BFG Mud Terrains) only bigger (32x11.5). Oh and FYI the blowout was a Pro Comp Mud Terrain, stay away from 'em (piece of ****!).

The rims I run are 15x8 black Rock Crawlers (Series 51) with 3.67" of BS.

Ok, gott'em mounted and here's how they look:

Not bad, really fills up that wheel well. Now I wish I'd gone ahead and done the 1/2" AC Lift on those. I've got almost no room for travel now. Oh well, I bought these with fuel economy in mind.

Btw, even though it's 1" larger in diameter, with the low rolling resistance I feel no difference in speed or pull. In fact, I don't realize that I'm going 5% faster than the speedo states!

Oh I'm all about wrc too! Four right, fifty, into hairpin don't cut.

I have all the Mcrae rally games. Now I cry when I play them...

I thought a crest was a hill??

I too enjoy my low pro's. 265/35R22.

Needless to say I don't do any offroading in the summer, but Winnipeg's roads are as close to 3rd world as you will find in North America (I know people who have torn their oil pan going the speed limit down residential streets).

No problems yet.

Fortunetly since we own R50s the "big tires" can only go to about 32's & if you have a custom subframe drop lift then 34's maybe some 35's, so realistically they aren't that big so there's not much of a "roll-over" factor.

Ptice wise yes, but you are takling about a $40-60 difference total so unless you get some free 15" rims I say just through 'em on the 16's.

Well I wanna upgrade to black wheels eventually, so I figure If I get some 31 inch tires I can just throw them on my stock wheels till I can get some new wheels. Those Pro Comp Rock Crawlers Series 97s aint bad. I could prolly get a set for under 400. But I wont be able to afford a lift and all the components till next fall anyway...
