i want my steering wheel closer to me

how can i accomplish this ? i don't really have a need to do a aftermarket wheel, i actually like my 240sx wheel, but i cannot get into a position that i like. i would really like th ewheel to be a little bit closer. what ar eway s of accomplishing this.

maybe matback's legs are too long to move closer. i think he would have thought of that himself

find the lever on the side of the steering column and press it towards you, this will make the steering wheel move closer all by itself (power telescoping and tilt). ohh wait, you don't have that in your car, but i have it in mine.

relocate the pedals further away, then move the seat closer. yeah that's it!

It's included in the Q45 because the Infiniti engineers know that most Infiniti owners are too decrepit and gout-ridden to lift their own arms very far.

well this still doesn't help me much.

i am thinking of machinign a spacer on the lathe and tapping in some studs or whatever to mount the steering wheel.i am using a 1998 s14 se seat in my coupe, and although i can get very comfortable with my legs and back but whenever i want to drive at somewhere around a reasonable rate you know nothing all out race but any time i want to take a few corners with some speed or what not, i cannot get my arms into a position that i like. I was able to get my z going into a position that was very suitable for me, but this car is just not working for me.

i guess nobody else has had this problem??
