I want my CRUISE back??

ICC not workin on 2003 M45 with 34K - Dealer wants $1900 to replace the bad DISTANCE SENSOR LASER, which as y'all know is behind front-end lens (No , it aint dirty!) That kind of dough ain't happening!

Anyone know if its possible to BYPASS this worthless Distance Following Devise, and maybe jumper around it so the CC works again?

I would give it a secondary scub down for good measure, but I have had this problem before. Yours may be broken though I have another thought for you. I will sometimes put my VDC on and off...and break traction. Once I break traction it seems to disable my cruise control until i restart the car or turn on the VDC. Either way...mess with it just to check it out.
