As some of you may remember, I hit a deer in November. This is now my 5th week without my A/C, and I miss it. I've been driving around in a last gen 4 banger sedan, and it has a lot of problems. It really made me appreciate my car. I'm trying to deal w/this as best as I can, but I can't help but be PISSED at the shop who said my car would've definitely been done a week ago!

I'm supposed to pick it up tomorrow, because they didn't have a chance to clean it today. If it isn't ready and spotless when I go in there tomorrow.... I don't know what I'm gonna do.

You're entitled to a rant, man. Five weeks? That sucks!

I know! I'm pretty sure I've forgotten what its like to drive my car. I'm going to have to get used to it again, which may or may not be a fun experience. At least I wont be getting passed by soccer moms in suvs anymore!

I remember when my car was getting fixed, it was in the shop for 3 weeks, and undriveable for a week before that.

So ultimately there was a month without my car, I was so sad because I forgot what the shift knob felt like, and how touchy the brakes were, and how easily it was to get around (I rode my bike while my car was in the shop, I had 5 and 10 mile trips home everyday)

Good luck to you

5 weeks, man that sucks!!! Please tell me where you took it so I don't make the same mistake if I smash mine up...and the chance is good on Rt 60 and on Green Garden Road.

But the Steelers should make you happy!

same here. i just got my coupe back after 6 weeks i think, it was ridiculous how long it took from the accident i had. the main problem why it could've taken so long is that they were waiting on the stillen fascia i decided to have them order BUT who knows when they placed their order which made them take longer. so far its taking them 2 weeks to paint because they keep having problems. so right now i have my coupe with stock bumper and i'm taking it next monday to have it put on. fun fun fun

Thanks guys, and Rob I know exactly what you mean about the brakes.

Hang in there Ecko its well worth it.

Link, I took it to Northland Lincoln Mercury body shop in Cranberry. Despite the wait time they're pretty good. It took so long just because it takes a while to get the parts for such a new car.

On to my next dilemma. They put on the WRONG STEERING WHEEL, my A/C doesn't have blutooth but now it has the blutooth button and all the steering wheel controls are jacked up.

What can I do to fix it?

Well... THEY had the responsibility of fixing it correctly, so I'd take it back to them and insist they fit the correct wheel. I'd also contact my insurance company so they know what was done wrong.

Yup DEFINITELY tell your insurance company, I'll bet you get it fixed a lot quicker this time.
