A friend of mine has an S15 diff in his S13. It's quite a bit shorter than the S13 diff (the strawberry silvia did have a 6-speed after all) but the bugger accelerates like a scalded cat.

I'm pretty sure the S14 diff is the same ratio as that S13 one. Can't offer you any suggestions for something with a taller ratio though.

You can, but IMO, with the time and effort involved, it wouldn't be worth it.

You MIGHT gain 10 mph.

****in right its called lies. Especially considering that every s13 i've ever been in the speedo goes to 180km/h. I think only lambo's could pull over 200km/h + in 3rd...

last time i redlined my third gear it only went to 90mph. fourth gear goes to 120mph... and if you pushed it u could reach 130mph which is 207kph (give or take a few).

as someone fooling his build intensely.......... if he got those 1236CC(IRRC) injectors rocking properly..... those numbers are possible with proper suspension.

My GTS-4 would do 250KPH near the end of 5th. Not sure what the ratio was but it was definately different the the the GTS-T, it could just crack 200 or so. My RS will do 160KPH in fifth at only 4500RPM but it's an auto rear end with a five speed swap.Change your rear gear if you want to go faster but you will sacrifice acceleration.

If he pushed it stupid-hard in 3rd gear and took it to like 7800-8000rpm, it'll get very close reach that point which is pointless, unless you're trying to get all you can get out of each gear. In my sentra, up to125mph in 3rd gear is not impossible. If you don't have the power, then it's a boring attempt.

Yeah, I do know this you know. Read my post good! If he pushes it hard enough, it's not impossible. Speedometers are always in errors unless properly calibrated and even then, you're still looking at a margin of (+/-) 2-5mph. I just broke some old dyno sheets of mine and looking at two of them (they were all 3rd gear pulls) they appeared to be 125mph and 127mph respectfully @ 8500rpm with horsepower ranging from 299.8whp (127mph) and 312.5whp (125mph). So I don't know how screwed-up dynomometers are, but my car is calibrated and if I can recall my car speedometer is still spot on and this was back in 2002. So again, it's possible whether one wants to believe it or not and I personally gain nothing from lying to any of you for any reason. Just trying to stop this thread from turning into a B.S. flag waving, flaming the O.P. for telling lies. Keep it clean or it gets locked.

Totally do able. You guys all realize that the EDM 200sx's got factory speedos that went to 240km/h, right? This guy has way more power than most of you to boot, and its being used for drag racing.

Using the gear-speed calculator dealy I found on the interwebz, a 3.7 rear end would gain you ~12mph at 8000rpm in 3rd. The calculator also told me that you are only doing 114mph at 8000rpm in 3rd. This is with my huge 245/45/17s on the back. Now I am not one to call BS, if anyone's s13 on here is gonna do 130mph in 3rd its yours, but I know my speedo is pretty unreliable at higher speed. Are you trapping 207km/h at the track or something? What is this engine being revved to?

Also found that "apparently" with those size tires I should be doing 90mph at 4000rpm in 5th. My speedo reads 70. Figure that one out.

several CA18 S13s gone 130+mph... why is 207km so hard to believe ?

gearing can be tricky. Example;A hot KA24 5spd was stuck in the 11.4s with his 4.08.A single change to 3.54, got him his first 10sec timeslip @ 10.90.He did loose mph tho. I know I'd prefer the quicker ET... screw mph.Same KA24 had gone 10.3 last I ckecked. Still with the 3.54 gear... traps in 3rd

Hi i rev 8800rpm and hit 204km/h and 205km/h and last 207km/h.With 26X10.5-16 M/T and 3.916 rear diff.

I just want about 8mph so i don´t hit revlimit 20-30meters before finishline.

In the dyno i hit 254km/h in 4:th gear.

There ya go, 8800 would definitely get you there. Yeah, you could probably get those 8mph with a change to that 3.7 ratio ring gear from that s15.

264km/h is freaking fast.
