haha, now that ive definitely got ur attention, i was curious if there were any strut bars, swaybars, strut tower braces etc. availabe for the 2.5s altima, i love taking quikc turns, but with stock tires and suspension it can get rather scary at times, i was curious if anyone had any 'stiffy bars' and any preferences, or comments on them??...:help

Eibach makes springs andStillen thicker sway bars for just about any Nissan.Togiko Blues shock/struts are prob available for the current Altima too.

Stillen (one of our sponsors) has a good selection of the above suspension stiffeners, to include urethane bushing for most Nissans.

Mt preious Q had the following set-up:

Urethane bushing s all around, togoco blue shocks, Eibach springs. thicker front and rear sway bars (all from Stillen).

Also Brembo crossdrilled rotors, stainless steel brake lines and Metal MAtrix pads.

If you are a hard driver <be sure> to use a only the best brake fluids.

valvoline SynPoer DOT3/4 is an excellent fluid and used by autocrossers everywhere. Also its still a street fluid so it wont be as hygrscopic as a pure racing fluid like MOTUL 600.

Also its much cheaper than the boutique racing fluids but nearly as good.

im not bad on my brakes, probably avg. i would say, however when i get some 'spirited driving' going, i can put them through their runs pretty harshly from time to time, how much did the setup on ur Q cost, and if u dont mind me asking, what happened to her, i know she passed, but what exactly happened?, if u dont wanna talk about it, i understand :(

Eibach pro-kit is arguably the best springs for lowering your car. It does not rattle your teeth when you hit over train tracks or uneven pavements. It also allows you to use your existing factory shocks. Drawback is you are limited to lowering it to no more than 1.3 inches ( I prefer it that way). You won't be doing too much of that "bumpstop dance". Thicker, solid, sway bars makes a big difference in the way your car takes the corners. Definitly a must. On my 01 Allty, a rear bar is the only one available. Suspension Techniques made them and Stillen sold them. I then took the bar to a shop to be powdercoated mower red. With springs and rear bar, my car is much more fun to drive on that long and winding road. As for urethane bushings, I did not bother with them. I use my car for the streets and freeways. Los Angeles has the worse roads w/ lots of hazards. Those hard bushings will rattle me to death!

wow man, thanx for all the info, really helps, i wanted to get front , rear sway and strut bars, but i didnt know if it would make THAT much of a diff on my car, but after hearin that, im goin with em, and ive been wanting to lower my car a lil bit for a while, and i wanted to lower no more than 1in in the rear and 2 in the front, but i guess i can live with 1.3 on both, and u think Los Angeles has bad roads, try NEW ORLEANS, in top 3 for worst roads in the country!!< ever road is one big pot hole, but thy;re solving this slowly but surely, and i never really was into bushings and dont really PLAN to do them, but thats not saying they'll never happen, thanx again man, really helpful

For the 1st Gens, (I have INTRAX springs 1.75 drop all around) you have to modify the bump-stops. I have modified bump-stops and I have never done the bump-stop-dance. Oh, and the Suspension Techniques (Stillen) swaybar is the SHlT!

The Stillen swaybar is GREAT! The bump stops are the rubber things that you hit when you bottom out.

Racingline produces a strut bar for your application. many on the the other altima site prefer it over the Stillen unit.

hey if u wanna b a lil stiffer at a budget price....the SER sway bar will fit our Altimas and is much cheaper than the stock 2.5 sway bar. im running that set up in the front and its a bit stiffer. its $20 cheaper even with the better bushings so thats just a thought. then you would still be under warrenty too.s
