Now I've been pulling as much information as I can for the past couple of months about rb20s into s13s, But I seem to still be having trouble in the "wiring department."

I will admit, the info here on Nico about swapping an RB20 into an s13 was very helpful, interesting and educational but I feel like it's incomplete. Some of the Archives are missing sections and pictures of swaps or don't add up to other write ups.

Driftopia has wonderful diagrams, pictures and setups about the CA that really explained some of my concerns pertaining to that particular motor swap.

FrSports' wiring is identical to Heavy Throttle's SR swap guide and even includes pictures of the Harness and where splices, cuts and extensions need to be made.

Unfortunately, I feel like I cannot find write ups of similar caliber for the RB20. I now RB25s have a video, but if I'm not mistaken, there is no video for the 20. I hate to sound "noob-ish" but things aren't adding up to me. How is it that other motors have write ups that are almost identical for each other yet the 20 is the most confusing swap I've ever seen? I've been saving up for my swap for a while and would like to go through with it in the spring, but wiring is the only thing holding me up.

I really don't want to ship my wires out to someone not bc of the increase in my budget but bc I truly want to build my car my self and learn as I progress through the swap. I'm just eager to learn.

Is any of this making sense? /rant.

I'm not trying to be a d!ck or anything, but I think it's because many people think it's a waste of time to go with an RB20. If you are only looking for the power and RB20 can provide, you might as well go SR for a lot cheap, with a lot more aftermarket support, and a lot more write ups.

I totally understand and agree with you to some degree, but so far the rb20 is within my affordability and power goals.

Without going into nonsense details, 220-270whp is my initial goal. Just getting the motor up and running is my first and only priority though. An rb25 would be nice, but kinda sounds over kill for me. Sr is just overrated.

The one thing that really attracted me to the rb motors though, was the sound. They just sound so darn good.

I guess I'll looking at schematics some more.

I did three rb20 swap , and one rb25 and I agree with you , the first time I did the swap I had a hard time finding all the info I need .

I asked questions on some forums but most of the time , people just told me to use the search button. Until one guy from this forums ''acecool'' , took the time to answers clearly all my questions .

He even help me at the start up , while my engine was cranking but didnt want to actually start and run.

Another thing about the never ending debate over rb20 and sr20 , im one of the fews who prefer the rb20 over the sr. I had almost every comon nissan engine and this would be my ranking

5-N/A ka4-bone stock SR20DET3-stock RB20DET2-KA24E-T1-RB25DET

Anyway all this crap to say , if you need help contact me , ill take the time to answers questions even if im not very good in english aha!
