not interchangeable, and you would probably want to get 2 of them. try JWT,or PDM.

If you are interested in cams on the cheap. Do a search on it here at the forums, I've read that you can use the intake camshaft from the Altima and an exhaust cam from the 95 240sx for a power gain that's on the level of those camshaft sets from performance shops.

I got the SOHC, so I am not sure on the specifics of the DOHC.

questions: -the 91 240 de has a more aggressive set of cams, 92+ are havent changed. Could some one provide specs on these cam sets, lift/duration. -Is it possable to have different duration values for each intake and exhaust cams, or must they be the same. what would be the benefit if any if possable.

Lift and duration does not have to match between int. and exh., in fact, lots don't. Both can be longer duration than stock then that will take advantage of the syphoning effect of the exhaust exiting to draw in the incoming fuel/air and boost higher rpm power, but longer duration will lose some low rpm grunt and put a lope in the idle.

I have the Nismo cam for the SOHC with a tiny less lift but with lots more duration. Makes for power above 3000rpm and climbs to redline without slowing, but I don't have a great idle and low end is weaker.

I don't know why Nismo decided to go with less lift, I would have liked it with more. So far the only performance camshaft I've seen that is less lift is the Nismo one. Most others get more duration and lift, but not as much duration as the Nismo.

Anyone know why they may have gone with less lift? What are the advantages and drawbacks?

lift is what kills the valve springs and causes float. also the ramp angle, but if nismo considered less lift for better reliability on the stock valvetrain then i'm sure they considered that as well.
