See weather answers for that. It would be dew, freezing overnight.

Sometimes when you clean the interior of your windows with Windex or glass cleaner and you don't wipe it completely off, it will tend to do that. I see quite a few streaks from where I didn't dry off the residue completely today when I was driving.

Hey,

I have had a similar issue ever since the weather turned really cold here (10-15 during the day). And to boot, it takes forever (if at all) for the windows to clear, especially the two rear ones.

In any event, what I find helped is before I park the car (at the store, the mall, or finally, at home) is to run the A/C for a few minutes to clear the humidity out of the air. It hasn't failed me yet (knock on wood).

I could not get my windows clear for the first couple of months this winter. Then I finally realized that I had the recirc/fresh air switch the wrong way when using defrost. I haven't had an inch of frost on the glass since, and we've been having -40 C weather here!

Lesson, pay attention to the "use with" symbol on the defrost knob.

My windows are extremely frosted too. In fact they are frosted since November and did not defrost since.

I do make sure of the "use with" function too. It takes forever to defrost a 6" x 6" area for me to see in the front windshield.

I guess the heater and also the battery in the Versa's are just NOT made for Canadian winters.

It is possible you may have a unbalanced charge on the compressor. If this is the case during the winter months you will hear a 'growl' when in defog mode with the dash a/c button lit. The cabin will not dehumidify as well as it should with the compressor running.

And yet, Sleek, I have not once had a problem with that -- really!

Luck of the draw, I guess.

That tends to happen in winter.

I'm with Ginsu on this one.

First thing, I would make sure that you have your cabin air set on outside air not recirc. With our V the AC comes on automatically when you select defrost.

After windows have cleared I shut down the AC. The car has not bad heat, could be better @ -35C.

Alot of people take showers before work, then rush out the door still half wet. (Hair, for example) This can dramatically increase fogging.

Do you drive with a cup of coffee? Steam. Another culprit.

I find in my V the floor mats get wet snow, it melts when the car warms up but the floor mat is soaked. Doing something like turning the defrost off to floor vent would aggravate this X2. (unless you left the A/C on)

Come to think of it, maybe THIS is why the A/C stays on when you turn off the defrost.

Mine fogs cuz if the shower one usually, I'm late and run out the door all wet.I beat it by leaving the drivers window cracked a hair.

i live in buffalo NY and we get -10F here every so often and Ive never had a Nissan that didn't have heat above and beyond whats needed, in fact i usually have to turn the heat down every min or so till it hits the 3 o`clock-2 o'clock position, if i leave it on full hot its down right scorching even in the coldest of weather, granted it does take a bit to initially warm up, but with a 1-2 min idle and a mile of driving its usually warm. We tend to get alot of lake effect snow around here in addition to the regular kind so getting in the car tends to put alot of snow on the floor. Doesn't take that long to melt and evap, having the ac on tends to help or just leave the heat on high going to both windscreen and floor and crack the window for a min or just leave ac on to dehumidify, i usually use the former as 3-4 inches of snow on the floor takes a good bit of heat to deal with and i don't mind exchanging alil air now and again in the winter months
