With my KAT. Should I get the t3/to4e .50 trim, .57 trim, .60 trim...? I'm kinda lost with trim sizes...I'm thinking I want the .50 trim. .63A/R?

Basically, what would it take to walk the people who have an SR20? How about slightly modded SR20s?

my ideal turbo is a T3/T4 .63 A/R. At 10 psi, with good tuning, 250whp is easily attainable, which will easily walk all over the average SR swap.

50 trim for a KA-T...Hands down the winner.

.63 A/R hot side, stage III wheel.

And for some #s...

An SR makes 225 crank HP at 7psi (if it's a blacktop)...so lose 15% through the driveline, and we're at ~192rwhp for a stock SR swap. Add FMIC, 3" DP and exhaust, and boost controller, and you can be at 250rwhp easily at 13psi.

On your KA-T with a 50-trim T04E compressor, you can make 200rwhp at 4psi, and 250rwhp at 8. Easily. If you're running 370cc injectors, you'll run out of fual at the same power lever as the SR guy (assuming he still has stock 370s), but you'll make more torque in to bottom end - Not much more, but some...

So there's some food for thought...

The exact turbo sitting on my floor right now...although I will run around 17 psi...maybe higher, whats the max efficiency on one of those bad boys? I had originally intended not to ever run more than about 10-13psi of boost...but that was before the 75lb. hr. injectors and JWT ecu tune. Now...the sky is kinda the limit...or actually, 520hp is (not that I will ever make that, but thats what the injectors are good for :))

At 17psi, you're at 35.5lbs/min at 6500rpm, which places you in the 75% efficiency range (2.16 pressure ratio at 35.5 - Check out the compressor map).

At 20psi, you're at 39lbs/min at 6500 = 74% island

27psi puts you right at the edge of the map, with a PR of 2.84 and 46.6lbs/min...

And that's probably 410-420rwhp...

Ya know...I could have figured that out myself, but it's SOOO much easier if someone else does the math, thanks a lot Brian!
