i wana turbo my 1992 ka24de or is it smarter and cheaper to just get the sr20. and what us the differnce between the two in power if you can turbo the ka. i know the sr is a 1.8 ABD the ka is 2.4 but is there really and advantage

more power now go KA-T MORE power over the long run go SR or CA or RB

KA is 2.4 L , cheaper, and has more torque than the SR

SR is 2.0 L...i think... , will be more expensive, and has a more aggressive redline than the KA.

You can exceed 600whp with either of them

theres alot of misinformation about this topic floating around, do a search and try to find someone reputable to tell you about it.

SR20DET is 2.0LKA24DE is 2.4L the displacement is in the engine code.

To get to your 300rwhp goal KA-t is going to be much better.After that point the prices usually cancel out with either the sr/ka and make close power.Ka has mor elow end while SR has the top end. You can boost a stock ka to 300rwhp safely.Any clip is going to have you at about the same price with only 180 at the wheels.If you plan on goign over 300 then see which engine suits you better.KA vs SR always goes bad.Just depends on what oyu want because the prices are the same when making big hp.I chose Ka because if it blows I can buy another one within a week.
