Mods so far:CA18DET, stockstock injectorsrebuilt, sr t25ssqv bov, recirculatedgreddy 3in downpipersr 3in cat backssautochrome (way too large a fmic for my setup)circuitsports oil pressure, fuel pressure and boost pressure gaugekoyo radiator w flex-a-lite duals

Right now I am having 3 problems with the car.1) It runs rich, very rich2) Boost response is very bad before 4000rpm (then runs like hell - as in fast)3)leaky valve cover (gasket on the way)

I think I found what was causing prob #1. Loose o2 sensor. But I won't be able to verify this until I put the valve cover back on.Problem #2 is being caused by the oversized intercooler and hacked together piping

I am preparing to up my boost to 12psi and here is how I plan on doing it:1st I am installing a walbro fuel pumpthen I am installing a smaller intercooler. (I just picked up one that is 27x5x5.5 3in thick with 2.5 in outlet and inlet) instead of the huge one I have now. I will weld custom piping for this and am contemplating a blow through setup.Next will be a perrin manual boost controllerFinally I will be adding some sort of fuel controller, safc or emanage, a wideband o2 sensor (for tuning), water temp sensor and oil temp

Am I missing anything in this setup? I am trying to get the most out of my car without going larger injectors, full standalone etc... I want a quick spool up and good power band and am hoping to approach 200whp.

I would add an electronic boost controller and an HKS wastegate actuator if your budget allows. What plugs are you running, what gap are you using, and how fresh are your belts and your fuel filter (Z32 works, is cheaper, and bigger)? I would add the Walbro and adjustable FPR at the same time.

Thanks for the input. I am adding the manual boost controller inline with my wastegate signal so that should take care of my boost requirements. Is there a reason I would need a new actuator?

About fuel. I have heard conflicting comments on whether or not I need an adjustable fpr. i will find out today if the o2 sensor was causing my car to run rich and I guess I will go from there. I am already running the z32 fuel filter, have new belts and the oil pump is healthy.

I am using the ngk plugs that come pregapped to 1.1mm.

i think its a little pointless to add both the hks actuator and a boost controller. i dont know a ton about the hks actuator, but it just lets you adjust boost pressure like the controller would.

your walbro will most likely overrun your stock fuel pressure regulator. this of course will cause the car to run even richer. other than that it sounds like you are set.
