Hey everyone, I am new to the 240 scene, I have decided that fixing evos is too expensive with a car payment on top!! I have a stock KAde and I just picked up a CA18 that I am going to rebuild and Install. Now again I have searched and searched for this and I cannot find a exact answer.

I know that a stock KA transmission will bolt up to a CA and will give a longer 5th gear... I drive a lot on the freeway so I am cool with that... But I am not sure what clutch and flywheel to use?!?! I have seen a wide array of options, but all say you have to cut this or grind that, and the number of bolts to mate the flywheel with the bellhousing is 8 on a CA and 6 on a KA. So my question is what clutch and FLywheel setup is the easiest and best fit? I am not going for huge power here... Going to keep the internals stock have a SR-T25 and skyline injectors with a mines ECU. Down the road I am looking for the 225-250 whp. I won't need more than that for a daily. So should I use a CA flywheel and a KA clutch or what??? Thanks for your help!

No need to gring KA clutches when there are so many CA options on the market nowaday. You can grab one of the CA clutches off ebay as well as the CA flywheel and they will more than suffice. Hope this helps.

Hey! Thanks for the help, I did notice that there are quite a few clutch kits for the CA... Now will that be an issue using the CA bell housing and the KA24de Transmission? Thank you again for your time!

no. the only difference between the CA and KA transmission are apparently the bell housing and i think a taller 5th gear. but if you bolt the CA Bellhousing to a KA transmission, you can use the CA clutch w/o problems.

Perfect, Finally something easy with this CA! Another quick question I have, again keep in mind I will be using a Mines ECU.

I plan on running some sort of IC set up, (weighing options to make it effective yet low profile) I don't want to get popped... Moving on, Do you all think it is best to run a Z32 MAF and run SR20 (want to run a Recir BOV/Dv, nothing to air) intake and IC piping, or what do you recommend?

S14 SR20DET Intercooler pipes from CXRacing fit great and I've been using them since having my CA. for the intake, im not sure as I am at that part of putting a BOV and recirculating it. Since I have a T28, i'm going to buy the Greddy kit made for it, but i'm sure an Enjuku or ProjectSilvia pipe would work good. Also, nothing wrong with a Z32 MAF.
