it was probably a radar detector... my detector uses a phone line...

I have not pulled the trigger. Right now I'm leaning towards the black one. I'm going to take it to a mechanic and have it fully inspected. If everything clears...then it's a done deal.

I would now get a full history on the blue one. A leased vehicle can be either perfectly ok or hell. I forget the number of miles you stated and the price. The miles when it was turned in can be very telling. While many will take good care of the parts that show when turning in a leased vehicle they may not take that much care of the mechanical parts that don't show.

Did you put it on a lift to look at it. This should be done with the blue one as well. To me it sounds like the color doesn't matter as much to you and to me if I did not care that much then what is underneath may well be a good way to select which one (or none) of these to go with.
