I love my Versa even though I had to have the engine replaced due to a factory defect in the engine block. The car is better than ever now.

It handles really well and has a solid feel to it. A couple of months ago, I rented an '09 chevy malibu. What a POS. No pick up and just felt cheaply made overall.

i agree with ya man besides my 2009 versa i own a 2005 suburban Fleet Premium (5.3L FlexFuel,Bose,4x4) with 210,000 miles on it... and it rattles its a little soft over bumps BUT it always starts and itll never let me down when towing... it was $39,000 when i bought it and its had a tough life....my versa has 1,000miles on it already and the dash rattles when its cold and when i turn my sub way up the 3rd brake lights rattles against the rear glass BUT it was $11,000 how can i complain... people need to stop b****ing or by a aston martin or a ferrari...oh wait they rattle to.... my dad has one.....

I bought this car after test driving and owning DOZENS of cars from almost every major manufacturer, and I found the Versa to handle, ride, and run better than all of them. I hate Toyota for their lackluster designs and noisy engines (you heard me!). I grew up around Nissan products; my father was an ASE certified Nissan technician from 1979-1993, so I learned alot about engines, cars, and especially Nissans. I have owned about seven Nissan products myself, and
Will we see a "Ford Tempo" issue? If you think about a Tempo right now..... you think "piece of s#$t" true? Why, cause they sold so many and all you heard was the bad things of that car. I bought a used one and man, I could not KILL it. The best car I bought for $800 bucks.

I think the nissan rants wont hurt but also it's "nice" to come here and see other people are having the same issues.

Like anything............. you car might of been built on Friday like mine but eventually they will work out the "kinks" and you will have a great car.

Oh by the way, the car needs to go back in, the dealer will finnally be changing the Strut mounts for the "klunk" they can't hear but I complained enough they had to do something.

I am now down to about every 1.5 months to the dealer for warranty work..better then beffore!

Haven't had mine in for much repair. Just a recall visit and a passenger door re-alignment. Other than that the thing runs pretty good. Better than the older Fords, Chryslers and GMs that I have owned. (BTW, I did most of the repair work on those myself . Got the skinned knuckle scars to prove it). There is a clunk in the back end when I go over the "speed bumps" on Riverside Dr here in Ottawa but that is probably just the spare tire et al in the rear. The body hasn't fallen off or shifted so I assume that everything is OK back there. All in all, will buy another Nissan when this one wears out.

Thank God....everytime I see one of these b@#$h fests It turns me off to whatever the concern was. Try comparing the quality of materials and level of technology available on the V's to most of the other subcompacts and you'll be amazed. In my extended family we have 3 V's and loving it.

Well stated.

Case in point: My friend's dad was showing me his new 335ci the other day, since he knew I'm a car nut. It was a beautiful machine, but he was disappointed that I wasn't overly impressed with some of the features - namely the BMW-version of intelligent key and voice-activated Bluetooth. When I told him that my wife's car had the same features he was curious as to what she drove. He couldn't believe that it was the cheapest car in Nissan's lineup. Of course, the 335 had even more advanced versions of these technologies, but you could tell the wind was taken from his sails when a sub-$20k subcompact had similar features.

The 335ci is not being bought for the bluetooth and the intelligent key. However, I have no issue with either one of those on a BMW.

Geologist? I grew up in Tulsa for the most part.

Oh, you're definitely correct - there was plenty of ooohing and ahhing (from me) over various bits - the wheels, the leather, the exhaust note. Beautiful car inside and out, especially on the road. Frankly, I think I'd be happier in a G37 vert, but that's another discussion.

This guy knew he'd have to wipe my slobber off the hood - it was just funny to watch his reaction when I beat him to the punch on those aforementioned features. He's a techie by nature, so those were some of the things he really wanted to show me.

Yup, work in petroleum.

Not a Tulsa native (Kansan by birth) but lived here the better part of a decade. I like it well enough, although we're under a couple-inch thick layer of ice at the moment.
