Alright, so I've finally started to bring in some money that can be saved. I found a set of wheels that would be nice (as far as on daily driven car), but I question the fitment.

They don't have to be perfectly flush, because my car isn't "slammed", i'm on AGX's with some vogtland springs with a 1.4 in front and 1.2 in the rear (or something like that).

Anywho, the wheels are an 18" XXR 522 wheel. They are staggered, with an 8.5 (+35) in front and 9.5(=25) for rear.

Wow. I didn't even mention the car. its a 1997 240SX, SE.

Any help on how these would fit, or if there would be any kind of issue would be greatly appreciated.

thanks guys

are you asking how they would look? i didnt really see a question in there lol...

but the wheels are pretty sick i like them at least...color of the car? and you should go 18x9 in the front and 18x9.5 in the back and maybe get some spacers as well to help with that high offset

on and also do you have front and rear camber adjustment at all?

I remember your car; was one of my favorites when I joined. Personally, I don't like the wheels. There are so many other companies that have done that design already, and better. I'd just go with MB weapons instead. You're 5 lug already, don't limit your self to wheel selection.

The only reason I didn't suggest the battles is b/c I thought they'd be a little too aggressive for the drop he has. They'll poke with small tires and look silly with big tires. but that's just me

haha my car was one of your favorites! Well thanks! Glad to know someone was checking it out :)

The only reason I don't want to go with the Weapons is because of the already stated problem with them. They really only go well with a car that is slammed. I'm not too big into the slammed look, I just like a nice ride height with minimal fender to tire gap.

Sorry I didn't ask a question - But does anyone know how the offsets on said wheels would go as far as being this "flush" word everyone speaks of. I had some RS-7's with a +35 all the way around. I honestly thought they looked fine to me. Really, I'm only worried about the 9.5 with a +25 offset in the rear. . .Any comments pertaining to that?

And for those who haven't seen the car - here ya go.

well personally i think that with a 9.5" wheel the highest offset you should have is a +15...but that requires a roll, camber, and lowness lol

with the +25 you might need a roll and camber to fit those as well even with your ride height just to be safe

I like to keep my tires flat to the surface its exposed to, though! I've already tried a car with negative camber as a D.D., and 18" tires got way too expensive, way too fast.

Guess I'll keep my look out - I like the look of these wheels, but more so I like the color/lip. The black wheel has always been a favorite with red cars, and I feel the red lip really sets it for the car.

Whoa this is totally wrong. A 9.5+25 is the rear is an excellent choice. The lower the offset, the more you have to stretch your tires, massage you fenders and dial in negative camber to fit your wheels. An 18x9.5+25 would fit on super easy in the rear. Especially on an S14. Depending on how much rubber you run, it should only need a roll. I'd suggest 255 tires.

But CRyan... can I make a suggestion for you? Get these:

No tricky fitment issues here. Just throw 'em on & fool ppl into thinking you got some fake BBS LM's... This will be a much classier look the any Time Attack scheme wheels, IMO. I think the Time Attack lool works best on black cars...

Wow, I do like those - and I agree, they really just have a subtle feeling to them. Would you recommend that color, though?

And thanks for the input with the fitment. I have looked over plenty of times the FAQ about "offset", but it never seems to really stick in my mind, nor do I really have any background with it on the 240SX (minus the Enkei's  )

Yes. Got Gran Turismo 4 for the PS2? Put the BBS LM's on a red S14 and you'll see the sexiness come alive.

I drive a 98, lowered about 1.4" on AGX's and Eibach pro-kit springs. My wheels are 18x9.5 +22 all around. Front tires are 225/40/18, rears are 255/35/18.

Fronts fit no problem at all, in fact i'll probably go with a 235/40 next time to fill in some of the wheel gap (since we arent dropped too low). The rears are damn close to clearing with no fender mods at all. I rub on the outside just a hair.. but wont even need to do a full roll to clear. I just havent tracked down a fender roller yet.

Id say dont be a p****, and get the 9.5's all around. They look way better, and have better fitment, even for the front. My biggest concern with my car is retaining ride comfort and streetability. With that in mind, I didnt want to slam my car or run super aggressive offsets, but I still wanted it to look good. 18x9.5's up front is no problem at all. If you ran 235's up front and 245's out back, you wouldnt need to do ANY fender mods, being at that ride height.

^^^Word. I like offsets in the +20's, too as long as they clear in the front. I don't wanna have to stretch tires too much and pull my fenders.

Great information man, thanks.

And to be completely honest, though I have a lump sum of money - further down the road I don't want to be buying that big (18") of a tire. In all honesty, to think more financially, I want to go with 16", but I can't seem to find much wider than 8". . .

How about some suggestion upon that, more so from simmode, seeing as you tend to share a nice taste in wheels.

If you want cheap wheels, go with Mustang replica wheels homie. I feel you on the not wanting 18's, though. Those tires are way more expensive. For that reason, I prefer 17's all around.

5 lug Mustang wheels will fit onto the 240 just fine and they come in sizes like: 17x9+24, 17x10+20 & 17x10.5+27.

Of course, there lots of good looking Rotas too, but these Mustangs are even cheaper...

Yeah, just google '17x10 Mustang wheels' or visit Americanmuscle.com. They're on ebay too.

Don't get the replicas.

Save up for the real thing or find some mint condition ones off craigslist or something. Those Sportmaxes are just copies of SSR's and other QUALITY brands.
