Ok guys I am putting KYB SRs and Tein springs on my Y33 and Im having some issues. First off the front cylinders are smaller then the strut caseing. I dont know if I was sent the wrong the ones. To fix that in the mean time I got galvanized steel washers to fill the gap that was causing the cylinders to move up and down in the casing. So after I installed them with the springs and took it for a test drive I heard a clunking noise coming from the front set. So I put it back on the lift and found that the springs are too small for the struts so when I hit a bump they shift up and down. So now I have no idea how to fix this so I need help from you guys big time. Thanks.

Can't help you with the Teins, but rmember they are for a Y33, not a FGY33.

Read Audiovisonary's post on his problems.

The KYB have a spacer for use in the OEM strut housing. If it is missing, might try using OEM top instead of KYB top. Be sure to replace bearings and anything else that even looks llike it might be bad.

Maxnix has a good memory. It was a bear to find, but I think this is the thread:

zerothread?id=218829

The member's name is actually audiovisiony33, but I couldn't remember exactly, either.

I made my own spacer to fill the gap between the housing and the KYB cylinder so im still at a loss right now.
