I've got a 1990 300zx "What Do Ya Call This"

I recently noticed a considerable loss in low end power in the form of stumbling and bogging when I attempt to accelerate. I have a hole in my exhaust and need to have it fixed. I live in a small town with only one muffler shop. This guy wanted to charge me 100 bucks over retail for just the two exhaust's alone. So neither here nor there I discovered this what sounded like an exhasut leak coming from what looks like a sensor of some sort. it has a red and black wire and was inserted in the lower intake pleneum at the rear of the engine. The two wires have shorted due to leakage around this device I need to know how to test it, ie.. what resistance values should I be getting and what the name is so I can buy a new one. zer...id=23#http://forums.nicoclub.com/zer...id=23#
