What was it before Sandy?06M4.5 wrote:Robert I pay $4.46 a gal for 93 Sunoco outside the Holland Tunnel
and they say gas prices have been going down the last 3 weeks
06M4.5 wrote:yes this is outside the Holland Tunnel on the NJ side. I think we have about 12 gas stations and 2 of them are Sunoco.
before the storm Sunoco 93 was about $3.93 and now after the storm it went up to $4.46 a gal.
Barrel of oil has gone down in the last 3 weeks to about $85
which means gas prices should be going down quickly but as always they don't.
Funny that my town has at least 4 Sunoco's.

I think it is recommended for the M35 and "required" for the M45. IOW, I thought the manuals said someting to this effect:06M4.5 wrote:91 Premium Recommendedbejjutsu wrote:On the bright side, isn't the car Premium Recommended, not required?
So, if you have a 35, a few weeks with 87 octane is completely fine. guys you are fine!!I think it is recommended for the M35 and "required" for the M45. IOW, I thought the manuals said someting to this effect:
M35: Use 91 octane or higher for optimum performance
M45: 91 octane or higher is required to prevent damage to the engine; if it is unavailable, a lower grade can be used, but you should drive gently while using it
ETA: OP has M35, so recommended is accurate, you have M45, so if you've been using regular and had engine failures, maybe oil consumption wasn't the only culprit.
