well my buddy was drinking tonight over at our friend house, he wants to go home, well he is sitting in his van about to start it so i run up (he is totaly smashed, can barly walk/talk) and tell him to give me his keys and i'd drive him home, after arguing with him for about 5 mins he agrees. so i look for my other buddy so he can follow in my car to give me a ride back.. well turns out he is inside trying to have sex with this girl, so i call his phone and tell him to get outside and drive my car.. well it takes him a bit to get dressed, so my drunk friend tryed to get in the drivers seat but i wouldnt get up. anyways my buddy finnaly comes out and tryed to start my car to follow, well the moron couldnt get it started so i had to get out and start it for him, while i was doing that my drunk friend gets in the drivers seat of his van and locks the door and puts it in drive, so i run up and grab on to try and open the door and get him out and my buddy stands infront of the van to get him not to go, but he floors it almost running my friend over and draging me along (i was still holding onto the door) i jump off and get back to my car, i was so pissed.. i tryed to follow him, i cought up.. then he trys to turn the whole thing into a god damn game, he is driving down the street doing about 30MPH, running red lights (luckly its 3am and there was noone on the road) and he sticks about 3/4th of his body out of the window, he drives around some of the back streets then finnaly desides to drive back to his house, once there he backs in and i go down the street in my car to go home, but as im turning around he pulls out and hauls azz away.. by this time im over it, imjust so pissed off that im not gonna risk myself and my car for his azz.. so i drive home and i get a phone call about 5 mins later, of him laughing.. WTF is his problem, thats so fugged up, i went off on him but he just hung up.. what if he got pulled over? or wores hit somone and it killed him or the other person, that would be on my consnce.. im just so angry right now.. sorry for the long post.. i wanted to be in bed 2 hours ago!!

Not to bring everyone down to the real world so quickly, but what does beating this guy accomplish. Nothing. I have plenty of friends that act like that when they are drunk. You did what you could, be proud of that. Learn not to leave the keys in the car with a drunk though. Lesson Learned. But realistically, do you think your friend will remember or care the next time he drinks that you had beat him down the last time?

I had to deal with a similar type of person a few years back. This guy's girlfriend gave me his keys as he was very drunk. She left. When I wouldn't give him his keys, he took my spares. He ran outside and hid from us. So took my car to may parent's house and parked it there. Came back. He was still in the neighborhood so we tried to calm him down so we could take him home. When that didn't work, we called him mom. As cruel as that was, we were tired of his antics. His stepdad came and he went home very quietly. He went to New York the next day for a trip he had already planned. When he returned a week later, he felt like an ***. We still get drunk and party. I just make it a point to hide all my keys. We all get stupid sometimes when we are drunk. It's good to have friends that care around you when you do. We also hide the hard liquor from this guy too. The incident is something we laugh about a lot. A lot of funny thngs happened, but ulitmately it ended well. He got home safely.
