But as of December 8, 2007 4:50PM

I now have a running RB.

More into, story, and pics soon to come.

And 2 things to remark about, that you all are right about:

1. Damn this thing has cleanence issues every corner you can think of.

2. The sexiest motor music I've heard

As far as my NRRBA membership, I'll still hold my spot/position, since I still have another non-running rb

Ill be the first to say congratulations.

Ill never forget the first day of running. I literally checked oil/coolant and pulled it out of the garage. Thats the most exciting 30 feet of the whole project.

Here are some crappy pictures of it as it sits. Still need to fix some bugs but had the chance to let it some what open today, and all I can say is that I love how it sounds

Of course I still haven't had a chance to add the Coolwhip touch.

As well its been 2.5 years since I originally got my "non-running" aka "stand motor" rb25.

And now it marks the first time I got to hear my own and drive it.

Thanks all, everyone has helped during this for I spent a hour searching on the forums in the middle of a troubleshoot yestarday.

Carl came through during some wiring problems and more.

No its not a Hybrid. I dont even know what kind it is, hahahaha. Ebay most likely.

Things to fix:Custom Earl's P/S fitting to pump leaksTurbo outlet rubs steering columnHook fan using controller / relaySpeed sensor wiringGet the hood to close

Need to put a timing gun on it, hook up AVCR, need to buy gauges and smaller battery, etc.

But running open downpipe is nothing less than bad ***

not sure if your using custom mounts or r33 x member but if your using Tophat mounts i had a to mess with the cross over piping some to get my hood to shut. the easiest way was to cut some of the hood skeleton where the pipe crosses over. why do you need a smaller battery?

I'm using Top Hats on the motor and yes the cross over pipe is whats killing the hood situation. I think if i move the intercooler closer to the car it will push the pipping down back and down a little. Worse case I'll cut the skeleton of the hood.

Battery is sitting on the cold pipe that runs where the battery tray was. Might not do anything about it right now.

I used the custom earl's powersteering writeup from Race Bread and the fitting that goes into my pump leaks, i even used the stock copper washer to seal it as well and it still leaks.

I am hesitant on driving the car without gauges so if anyone has a nice gauge setup that they want to sell I'm in the market I also got parts for trade..

Anyone in the mood for CP pistons? haha

shim the hood to fix clearance issues, functional and looks pretty good on a s13.be sure to swap in the ka temp sensor for the gauges...else they're gonna read wrong.

I put 2 washers on each side of my hood and now the hood has good gaps and sits level.

you can still retain the stock battery and location. I had to modify the pipes that run under the battery tray to be able to retain the winshield fluid tank and stock bumper (28x9x3 ic) .. i've tried several ways to avoid trimming the skeleton but it was much easier to do so. shimming the hood may help alittle but where it hits is in the front.

So i cut alittle more/ hammer the area under the battery to lower the cold pipe some. I put an acorn style lug nut between the hood and the hinges. It now clears the BOV and cold pipe. Battery sits lower, got my intake filter snug in the corner. Haven't got a chance to mess with the turbo outlet elbow though to clear the steering column yet. Need to wire up the speed sensor. Installed turbo time and avcr last night as well worked out some bugs. Still need to get that p/s situated. Carl came through without blinking and fixed a constant power ECU problem that was draining my battery.

Just ordered some gauges last night.

Drove it for the first time away from home today. (to work, 35miles one way).

Open downpipeNo front bumperExposed underdash

Driving the long route to work = best drive to work ever. I'll get some video footage and some better pics!

Last night at 3am drove like that to 7-11 and was greeted by 4 cop cars and SUV they all turned and watched in disbelief that I would go there of all places.
