but i dont seem to see it anywhere. i had a question on some stuff i see on here every now and then. i have a 90 q45. and i ve read that its possible to use 300 zx struts and shocks. what i m trying to figure out is, not only if its possible. but how compatable are they. every thing i have read deonst explain it clearly. and deos anybody roll with this setup right now. i want to lower my car soon, very soon. and the tokico blues and eibach springs are just to costly for me. i would much rather heat em or cut em. my struts are almost brand new and know that they can handle them for a while. i ve seen parts are alot cheaper 300 zx wise. i know it seems i am just being a cheap ***. she runs nice thanks to me,so stlye is my next step.

Never done it, and know nothing about it.

But, one car weighs a hell of a lot more than the other does it not? I can't see that it's something that one would want to do. Particularly taking the lighter cars components and tossing them on a Q.

I'm not an engineer, but common sense tells me what's going on with the front suspension when I brake hard and turn going into an off ramp. Sounds like a good way to wind up a statistic.

supposedly everything fits, kinda. i believe you need to use the g50 strut mounts (or maybe it was r32 gtr) and some people have had to modify the sleeve in the bushing up front, however the educated guess is that the 90-93 may not need it. nobody has done it in a pre-mc afaik.

You can search for any post you started, but descriptive titles help also.

Years back gniknave tried to make 300ZX springs work, there's a thread burried here somewhere.

Also, thejapino (or something like that) also used some Z32 parts. The info is out there, just got to search for all the possible terms/phrases people may have used ... which is made difficult when people use slang, abbreviations or non-descriptive titles .

Look for some threads by one ton garage, thejapino and/or gniknave in the Q45 and "Infiniti General" sub-forums.

Good luck, and please don't just cut the springs
