i had a mechanic tell me it was the fuel pump. so i changed it. problem is still happeningsee the problem i had was that the car seemed like it wasnt getting gas. i could floor it and the rpms would be at 2k.i couldnt drive over 30 mphand for me to get there i had to steadily climb up to that speed. as in barely touching the gas.i took it to a place today and it threw out 3 codes.P0731P0135P1111any help?

Tackle them in this order

P1111P0731P0135

it sounds like the most important one in this group is the P1111, thats what would control engine speed, if its faulty, then the symptoms your complaining about would likely occur

The service manual has priority chart on page EC-116

It says:

P0135 - Priority 2P1111 - Priority 2P0731 - Priority 3

So we have a tie.

I'd tackle P0135 first because it's the simplest, P1111 would only have smalleffect on performance, and only at WOT, IIRC.

But if you stand on the gas, what happens: dies? Revs way up but doesn'tgo anywhere? The latter will be P0731.

thanks guys. and let me explain what happens. I used to have the problem where if i would hit the gas too hard the rpms would shoot up and speed would stay the same.but i managed and it was still very driveable.i changed the battery last week and as soon as the new battery was in... the problems started. The car wouldnt go past 10 mphi would hit the gas gently and it just seemed like it wanted to shut offas if the engine wasnt getting any gas.i figure it had the wrong mixture of air and gasoline.well i changed the fuel pump because of what the mechanic told me. and problem still going onI can take up to 50mph now but barely touching the gas pedal. so imagine how slow i am off of red lights.
