My girlfriend has a 93' Cadillac. She has been having an idle problem for the longest time. Each time she takes it back to the shop, they say it is something different. The latest time, they told her that it is her climate control that needs replaced, and that it is the reason for most of her problems, including the idle. I dont know everything about cars, but it just doesnt seem logical that the climate control would affect the idle. I really think this place is trying to rip her off. Please give me any information that would be helpful to me. Thanks for listening.

Actually on many lux cars [V8] the HVAC control and ecu are constantly sending signals to each other..........ecu needs to know compressor is on and ecu cuts compressor on acceleration.........HVAC tells ecu to retard timing in Summer heat - from sensors.

Always send lux cars to experts who work on the same models daily [whether that be the dealer or some independent expert] who specialozes in the make and model.
