I think my shocks are blown not sure??? need help??

hey guys..i dont know much about the shocks so i cant really tell. I tried to look but i cant really tell if its blown or what? every time i go to the bump, it makes squeaky noise and sometimes my tail of the car shakes like fish tailing. Do you think its the shocks? or what? if it is where can i find some good deals? i looked at tirerack.com

Hmm, not sure about the symtoms you described. However there is a quick test for shocks. Push down hard on the front or rear of the car and release it(make sure it's on a level surface, keep ebrake off). Try to get it to bounce. Good shocks should only allow the car to come back up, then very close to resting position. Have someone push down on the corner of the car that's squeeking while you look underneith. It shouldn't be too hard to find it's source. Possible places include spring perch(spring rubbing), worn bushings, faulty shock, etc.
