so yeah, i think the p.s. pump is done

its ok when its cold and the atf is still thick but as soon as i get going and everything is at opperating temp durring low speeds its really had to turn the wheel and it just keeps forcing atf out the top of the res.

anybody else have this problem and can confirm that its realy my p.s. pump?

the lines dont leak the pump dosnt leak, possibly the worng atf?

and reccomendations for keeping the pump working well since it gets worse when i drift it gets super hot and practically drains the whole res.

1. Drain fluid.

2. Put new fluid in.

3. If it doesn't work, get a pump.

Sounds like water got in your fluid somehow. It shouldn't boil that easy.

i did that when i switched from p.s. fluid to atf, i had p.s. fluid in there for awhile and it wouldnt stay in the pump it would lead out threw the gasket because its not as thick im assuming, so i took off the in line to the pump and put a pan under it and turned on the car so that when it returned to the res. it would just drip out the line into the pan, did that for about 5 min. then put atf in there

its really sucky cause its ok in the mornings just as soon as it gets to operating temp it just goes to s*** and starts spewing atf everywhere, even worse when im drifting, id like it to be that normal power steering feeling again, i havnt had it in a very long time

yeah it was the pump i swapped that thing out today and it was a bazzilion times better than the last one, i noticed that the old pump cooked the fluid regardless of what it is i dont know how it was doing that but it did, it smelt burnt and looked burnt even though it was less than a week old atf

probably gonna pull it appart for fun now thanks everybody
