well im about 80% shure im gonna be selling my 240 and getting a 91 turbo MR2 (atleast thats what im trying to find ATM) i love my 240 but i just dont have the money to do a swap.. i need somthing faster, and better at auto cross.. so im thinkin about selling it.. if any of u know of anyone looking for an S13 with HICAS and ABS and alot of other stuff let me know... and what do you all think of MR2s? have any of u worked on them? come on guys, guide me here :)

Dude, there's an SR'd 240 in b/s/t right now. Go check it out. Don't get an MR2. Your insurance will be a ******.

'tis true MR2 insurance is a beast. other than that, they're a beast to work on for some simple crap, (water pump I think) the FSM says it's actually easier to pull the engine (12hrs) than install it with the engine in the car (18hrs). That, and finding an MR2 w/o t-tops for max performance or with t-tops that aren't cracked from abuse, plus the fact that a turbo-rebuild will likely be in your future if not a new turbo. However, if you can afford it, there aren't many cars that will hang with "Mister Two" even at twice the price

good look killing yourself in one :) I wouldn't get one for a daily driver.

um, well MKII MR2s are what? 8-10,000 on avg, maintaining it will be a *****, same with insurance

Also, the MR2 forums I go to are all ****ed up right now and not as active as NICO http://www.board.mr2faq.com

I think a MKII MR2 would be a a good project for the weekends, and i might get one after I finished building a 510 (at least a year and a half)

I agree. Mr2's may be good autocrossers, maybe a little better than a 240sx, but you may want to think how many times a year you autocross versus using it for commuting. Don't get me wrong, MR2's are great handling/performing cars, but they're not great for trips or if you're hauling anything more than an overnight bag. Compared to a 240sx they're small, cramped, more expensive to repair/maintain/insure. IF you want to use the car full-time for autocross, well, MR2 is a great choice. But if you want more versatile car that hauls people plus luggageat the same time, and does respectfully well at autocross, you might want to keep that 240sx. Another suggestion is...BOTH!

sorry, but i have to agree with everyone here, MR2s are nice, but i would only get one as a second car, they are a pain to work on, expensive, insurance, i mean the list goes on, id say stick with ur 24o, and if u dont have money for a swap , find power in hte KA, theres potential there too, just my .o2, but good luck finding one if ur set on getting one

Talk to my friend about MR2s hes 17 and has or had 4MR2, 3MKIIs and 1 MKI, which I bought...

By the way, hes homeschooled and works 60hrs a week to pay for it all. Also been in nurmous accidents :( ...
