well doesn't painting cost a lot?the only reason i bought it because i though it was black like my carjaxCoupe08 wrote:Personally I think that price is pretty good on a OEM bumper. Just go to the shop and get it painted to match.
You can get your money back through paypal or contact ebay on a disputed charge on item.
Hopefully you used Paypal or a Credit card to pay for it. If so....CALL THEM ASAP. Tell themt o cancel the charge because the guy lied about the color of the bumper. Dont bother trying to take it up with Ebay, they dont do crap. I bought some computer RAM from this guy and it was defective, alone with about 15 other people who left him negative feedback, and after a few emails to Ebay and responses from them the guy was still selling, still scamming people. But yea call your payment method asapTheBourneAltimatum wrote:some **** tard backed into my car two weeks ago and ran off. i did not contact insurance because of the high deductible and the increase in price...i took it to several body shops and the average estimate was about $800 dollars...and then i found an OEM rear bumper from ebay, it was painted...i send an email to the guy selling and ask him if its black or not, because its very hard to tell if its majestic blue or black from the images. the guy assured me it was black. so i bought it....it came in and it was BLUE!!! i emailed him a few times and he is not responding...i paid 95.99 for the bumper plus $60 shipping i'm gonna wait to see if he ever is gonna email me back...but lets say he never does, what should i do do you think i will be able to get my money back
you shoudlve asked him "is it black or blue?" And then he would have no choice but to tell the truth, not knowing what color you wanted.TheBourneAltimatum wrote:some **** tard backed into my car two weeks ago and ran off. i did not contact insurance because of the high deductible and the increase in price...i took it to several body shops and the average estimate was about $800 dollars...and then i found an OEM rear bumper from ebay, it was painted...i send an email to the guy selling and ask him if its black or not, because its very hard to tell if its majestic blue or black from the images. the guy assured me it was black. so i bought it....it came in and it was BLUE!!! i emailed him a few times and he is not responding...i paid 95.99 for the bumper plus $60 shipping i'm gonna wait to see if he ever is gonna email me back...but lets say he never does, what should i do do you think i will be able to get my money back
Generic is right! open a dispute with paypal and pick the option that the seller has not responded and that the item that you bought was not what was listed. It's gonna take some time but hang in there. I once sold a rear fairing from my 05 Honda repsol from some Bozo in Fl. He paid me with Paypal and I sent him the fairing. The following week, he opened a dispute stating that the fairing was not the right color. That was a lie because they only made 500 of these bikes in the world and I was lucky to get one. So, to make a long story short, this guy was trying to keep the fairing and the refunded money which was taken out of my paypal account already. So I opened a dispute stating that the guy never returned the merchandise and that he has my money! So Paypal charged his CC via Paypal until he returned the merchandise to me and until I called them up confirming the return!generic808 wrote:Actually, paypal is a subsidiary of eBay, so if you open a dispute with eBay, you get sent to the paypal site. At least that's how it's set up now. Very user friendly now.
