i recently got my clear bumper lights and when i took off the orange ones, i found that on one side the plastic part that holds the bulb melted onto the orange piece. so i cut the wires and instead i attached the wires directly (because the plastic part melted and i cut it off). but i guess i may have connected the wires wrong because now the bumper lights dont light up at all, as well as the little strip on the headlight and inside the car the clock and the panels dont light up. the only thing that lights up when i turn on the light is the headlights, tail lights when i brake, and turn signals. help plz..........

is it just on one side? or on both the sides? If both, then maybe is a fuse. I'm not 100% sure on the wiring layout as I haven't messed with mine much yet, but if it's like many other cars then maybe you just hooked it up wrong and created a short or open of somekind. Or maybe even the melted plastic part does more than just hold the bulb. Some of them actually have a metal ring/washer looking thing that acts as a ground when you reinsert it into its housing. Could be a few things.

quickest thing to do....just check the fuse =) If looks good, then get a watt/multi/voltmeter the check if it's "hot" when you turn the lights on.

Have fun troubleshooting

I'm sure one of the techs will chime in here shortly with a more technical answer.

so you know how theres the bulb which you put into the little plastic part....and that plastic part connects to another plastic part which is connected to the wires... i cut it so its wires connecting to plastic part with bulb. i just got rid of the other plastic piece. actually i'll just check every fuse and see which one it is...hahah hopefully i'll find the culprit
