Like a dumbarse I was making a driving video with my new camera and while shifting I missed a gear and went from 2nd strait into 5th  and the clutch felt like it was slipping. Well, I got it in 3rd and it felt fine untill I got to the stop sign where it felt like either the brakes or transmission were feeling grabbish or stuttering when applying the brakes. :ohno: It did that for a couple more stops then felt ok again by the time I got back to the house. :wtf2: just happened? It felt like something came loose and it had an almost flat tire feel in the passenger front when turning but the tires were fine with 30 and 31 psi in them. For some reason it felt ok by the time I got it back to the house. It wasn't making any noises or anything... weird. :gotme

It sounds like it always has to me with the clutch out. When its out you hear a low volume durrrrr sound, when the pedal is depressed it is quiet. I am about to go to the mailbox and a little down the street to see if it acts up again real quick.

OK I just got back from my mini run and as far as I can tell all is well again. :yesnod I ran the Z somewhat harder than usual and slalomed around a bit to see if the wheel or hub was loose. Nothing, zip, nada whatsoever. I am going to chalk this up to the slip control gremlins and be on the lookout for it if it happens again. And now that I remember I did bark the tires a bit when I made the turn before all this happened in the first place so I may have inadvertently caused the system to engage :facepalm2 . Either way I was sweating bullets that I had a possible $1k+ repair bill due to my antics with a camera.

You didn't put anything in front of "system", do you mean the VDC?

Either way, nice to hear that you're not shelling out some cash to repair something on your newly acquired Z. So, are you going to post the video without the "Oh shxxt, what just happened?" commentary? :)

I tried to upload a few days ago but after an hour and only 13% of the 5 min vid loaded on youtube I gave up.
I have to find a better uploaded, and yeah I did mean the VDC system sorry for not clarifying that part.

so far nothing but the slightest feeling of clutch slippage. I figured that's prob about right if its the original clutch since it would have 120k on it. Found an exedy clutch online for under $300 so I'll prob go with that when it decides to quit gripping altogether.

It'll be a while before I have to swap out clutches I hope. I am just feeling the first stages of it's demise hahah.
