LOL Rich and I love Furd.

Hey Grant the new v6 Mustie gets over 300 ponies. The GT will have over 400 ponies and the GT500 will have 540+ ponies. I believe. I think that's pretty damn good.

Would I buy one. Nope. I really hate the retro style interior. That's why I would never buy a Mini either. It is fun to drive but crap looking interior. To my taste.

Grant, not going to pollute Nate's thread with any more Furd talk! I'll just say I've been much more fortunate with the Furd's I've owned!

A used Altima is a great idea though! I see bunches of them on the Nissan used car lot and I think you can get one for a great price!! Guessing the used car market is flooded with them due to rental agencies.

Well, if you got a personal loan at a high rate, you could effectively lower the rate by paying more each month if you can afford it. There's nothing in the rules that says you can't pay more each month.

Ford has gotten better over the years. Every Ford I've had has done well and I've had one going back to MY 1993.

Did you guys here that they're bringing back the 5.0 Mustang? Not the design (thank God) but a 5.0L engine.

lol, I like the new icon.. So, the mustangs do have more power then the last V6... I thought it was barely over 200hp? And the times were terrible, it's good to see they're trying more competetively...

I don't claim to be a Ford expert either, so thanks for the facts zozo. I know the saleens have always been

Single owner took a turn too fast and didn't see a CALTRANS (CA's beloved road work bureau) truck and tried to hug the guard rail. Damage included a bend radiator support, dead bumper, and minor fender damage. Insurance company did a total loss on it. The shop that the owner used for maintenance bought the car from him and is in the process of fixing it. It was going to be a track car, but one off the owners hurt her back and is on Dr.'s orders to stay away from racing. So they're fixing it to sell it.

Comes with Cams, custom exhaust, and custom tune (my tune). Title hasn't registered as salvaged yet, so I'm hoping that we can finance the car.
I'd be careful of salvaged titles...it will be very difficult to sell. Make sure you can get a loan/insure the thing.

I agree with the newer altima...

ok...

g35 sedan, altima 3.5SE, dodge charger r/t, pontiac G8, or acura TL

those are the ones i can name off the top of my head that have practical use and fun factor...

wrx and evo is just like having your g35 coupe... I30 while you had a good experience with it is just too old of a car...

i also agree with what some one else said... if all else fails just get a new model honda/toyota sedan... wont be as fun to drive... but will serve you in every other category...

my personal recommendation is the g35/7 sedan... but you already know that...

sweet we got some new icons. Good find Grant.

I'm not an expert either. Happened to work with guys they car nuts and they love american cars. So they keep me up to date with all the #'s.We have some great talks in work.

I think Ford needs to work on the interior. Maybe it is just me but the retro style is killing the interior. Also the SHO finally was in one. Just doesn'tscreem it is a loaded upscaled sedan. They designed the dash weird and the sun can shine on the screen and part of the dash and blocks the view. I didn't see a thing on the screen due to the sunshine.

Ford does need to do something to fix their underpowered pony car so does Dodge.

The v8 Mustang is slower in the 1/4 mile and to 60 then the 07+ g's... except for the 2008 Bullitt stay away from that car!

Jeff the 2011 musties going to leave the G in the dust. Now the 6 will give youthe hp what the G has and the GT with the 8 cylinder will fork out over 400 hp. GT 500 will be around 540 ish. Gt and the GT500 will leave the G behind. LOL

Nate hereis an 07 Sedan for $15k

Went to see the Evo on Friday. Fell in love with it. Actually so did the wifey. Wicked White exterior. Sound, Sight, Leather Package. Very clean. Will eventually put down about 300 AWHP.

I'm going to see if I can get a loan and insurance for it. If both of those happen, then the car will probably be mine by next week.

As for Furd. I think their new Mustang is REALLY ugly. The pre-facelift models of a year or two ago are much better looking IMO.

Altima sedan=Boring to drive. No warranty (except on that lovely CVT). Questionable reliability (can't be any better than the G since it's completely manufactured here in the states).

I think the EVO is going to win. It's not the most practical car, but my payments will be about $100/month less than the G and my wife will actually want to drive this one. The shop is throwing in a custom tune for the car. We're going to push for open loop with a 15:1 target for low load cruising which has the potential to yield me mid-high 20s on the freeway.

15:1 air fuel? isn't 15-14.5 considered a normal air fuel ratio?

14.7:1 is stoichiometric, but very few will run stoic on a boosted car because they're worried about detonation. Under low load, there shouldn't be a problem so stoic or a little higher can work to get optimal fuel economy.

Yeah. I don't think it's going to fly. I just called the DMV and they already have record of the car being salvaged. As such, the bank won't give me a loan for the full purchase price.

I see that is pretty cool. I had a wide band O2 on my Hemi Ram due to the 200 hp nitrous shots. I saw it run as lean as 17 on the gas once that was scary. Normally it was about 14.5.

I did not have cats, I tried the o2 simulators and they would work for a while. About every 35-40 miles I would be sitting at a light and the truck would dip down to about 13.8 then lean out to 15 and then settle back at 14.5 and the 0420/0430 codes would pop. Dodge actually had an algorithim in the ECU to TEST the cats and O2
