Cliffs: Got a new F32 convertible as a loaner while I had two recalls addressed. It's boring. I'm not exactly in love with my E93 but it's a much more satisfying car to drive. BMW peaked with E46.

Exception: The 2-series, but otherwise this E93 is likely my last BMW.

I agree that it peaked with the E46... I do like the 135, however

I assume if you get rid of that "bummer Bimmer", you'll find yourself restarting to use turn signals? :)

There are days when I feel like I want an F80. Pretty badly. But then I chicken out. Every single time.

There is always the lease option! I also wanted an F80, but sadly it doesn't come with a V8 anymore, only a weak turbo 4banger and a turbo 6.

I left the M3 off of my F80 - kind of important. I’m not aware of any lease rates that would be better than just buying one, but I haven’t tempted myself enough to go digging.

I don’t think a regular 3 series is a significant improvement off the Q50 I used to have to justify anything of the sort on that front. That may be blissful ignorance on my part, but maybe not.

If we are talking about the 4banger or 6 cyl variant (not the M version), the HP and Torque overall is lower than the Q50, TLX, Juke, and the Civic Hatchback. I don't see any significant improvement over the Q50 with a regular 3 series, other than brand reputability in the car culture (not the reliability). Plus, its a bit small, sort of the size of an ILX, older Civic generations, etc. Unless, if your original intentions was to make this a daily driver, that is doable.

Jesda - read your review. "The Nickelback of the auto industry." GOLD. And sadly, fitting. Guys that like cars drive them and can't figure out wtf happened, but somehow, they still sell by the boatload to some market somewhere and you can't figure out why.

Because Fudds buy the brand not the car.

If Lexus didn't have that goddamn awful front end and so so cars...I'd say buy them.

...But what you really need to do is get a 3.0 Supercharged F-Type. If you're gonna have to see the dealer every 3 months, at least look good doing it.
