So after much research on this forum (thanks to everybody who responded to my PM's), I think I've decided to go with BC Racing coil overs. It would appear the majority of the people on this forum have BC, and after doing other research, a lot of people in different cars have BC with similar reviews. "A bit of a harsh ride, but can definitely go low".

Now mind you, I went from driving a 1999 Toyota Camry with marshmallows for suspension to the Altima, which feels pretty harsh to me already. My expectations for what people consider a "harsh ride" is probably not going to feel any different to me because I went from suspension that felt like jumping on memory foam to jumping on a pogo stick.

So I say this with a grain of salt. I hear that the BC's have been revamped and a lot of the issues that people experienced in the past (squeaking, popping, etc.) have been remedied. I just keep thinking that I should wait, save up a little more, and buy Teins. I'm going for a lowered look, but not slammed. I want to almost eliminate the gap from fender to tire, but not be tucked. I hear Tein's can be noisy though, so hence you see my dilemma.

Spend 1,000 and get decent quality and know I can go lower than I'd ever want to? Or spend 1,350 and get a more respected brand, but possibly at the cost of not being able to go as low as I'd like. :ohno:

Well, if you're just trying to eliminate the gap. You can get Tein S-Tech springs like I currently have. The ride is smooth and no bumpiness like coils if that's what you are looking for.

but what is "low"? and as for BC's can you still mount a RL Strut bar in there?

Be sure to start a build thread. I'm hoping you're going for some 19" RAYS and heat-stained tips too. Don't disappoint me.

On a more serious note, I did have a great experience with Tein S-Techs. They will cause accelerated deterioration of your shocks/struts, but the degree of that depends on the roads you drive on and how often you drive. Coils are the best long term solution. I would only discourage modification of the coilover kit to achieve "full low" or anything else that would fall out of specification from the manufacturer.

I expect you to have your coilovers installed with iPhone screenshots THIS SUNDAY. Or else.

Guys guess what! I just bought a 350Z for days that start with m and flipped some rays for a house. Take me seriously please!

On a serious note, I have a build thread. I'll be updating it after I get the pipe and BC installed. I've decided on coils after talking to BC racing.

SO B PATIENT GUISE OKEY!? :P

Awwww I'm sorry. To answer your question, I want my fender flush with my tire. As for RL strut tower, I don't have one. Wasn't really considering getting one. But I'm sure if I wanted to, I could request special longer mount threads for the strut bar from BC. Theyre willing to customize spring rate and revalve at no extra charge.

I think I'll order this paycheck.

Wrong. I have dealt with BC and I have the adjusted BC coils and it costs extra $$

I have an e-mail from a chap named Kerry that says "Please be aware that for every 2k over or under the default spring rate, we do recommend a re valving of the shocks to better match the requested spring rates. There is no additional charge for this, if specified at the time of order."

:) Don't mean to be a smart a$$, but I'm doing my homework really thoroughly before I do this.

Alright let me know how it turns out for you. Ask for the Rear shock cartridges that are 20% less valved, see what they tell you.

Well I'm going to prepare myself for the worst and hope for the best. I may not adjust anything. Thanks for the heads up though. I don't know if I'd do 20%.
