I needed to replace my fan clutch . I did not get the oem but went with one from the local part store now my z sounds like a truck when I pull off. Is that normal when new and will it die down after a while or did they sell me the wrong part for the car?

Sounds like it's constantly engaged, so wrong part is my guess

Sounds correct to me since it is a lock up clutch.

???

It's only supposed to be engaged when it's hot. It's a thermally activated clutch.

Yes, it's viscous coupled with a lock up clutch. New ones tend to run all the time since they are "stiffer." As long as it turns by hand with some resistance, isn't frozen, it should be fine...

ETA: Mine is still stiff after a few thousand miles. I can hear it when I start out.

I recently replaced mine with an aftermarket one. It's loud as well which is annoying. But it's working right, when the car idles at a light for a long time it heats up & locks up - so when I take off I can hear it. Then it partially disengages when the car gets moving because it quits making that noise. And I can spin it with the car off.

In my case I think the loudness is just something I have to deal with because it's a cheaper knockoff of the OEM. I definitely don't have that kind of money though, so I'll manage lol.

that big what fan? is that what we are talking about?

mine is engaged all the time. the more i throttle the faster it moves which leads me to this question.

every time i start my car something squeels really loud and then when the noise stops my engine makes a loud rev noise like the fan shot on? or like the cars rpms increased. either way its f*** weird and anoyying

Check your alternator belt tension for the squeal. Also, try turning the fan by hand. It should turn with some resistance. If it does not turn, the fan clutch is locked up, need a new one.
