So, I had to drop off my car ay Infiniti today to get the drivers seat replaced (bad wear on the drivers seat) and I was given an 09 G37X as a loaner.

Even with my Mods...I believe this car is faster

Sorry...typo...meant 09 G37X

Ok...I know... but because I had the mods on mine I thought mine would be faster. Unless it just feels really different..but I love 2nd and 3rd in the G37. That car has balls...BIGTIME!

I think the incentives got better this month on the G37's ...have been at the beach munching on DQ, so need to get by the dealership.

I would price it out on carsdirect.com looking at invoice - dealer incentive (which was 2K, but I think it went up) Now, if you find a 08 left over G37 coupe, you might save an additional 1.8K since the 09's did go up.

and, yes, the 4d is cheaper

I don't doubt that it's faster, but I can almost guaranty that your "butt dyno" is feeling the softer suspension more so than the actual increase in acceleration.

Soft suspension seems to create greater jerk which makes you feel like you're going faster.

I think you need to get some HFC Sean...and a tune. I think then you might be pleasantly suprised at how much power you pull from what you have already.

The 3.7 is a larger, more powerful engine...of course it feels faster!

I'm definitely getting an FX37 in a year or so. I got used to the size of my SUV while on a recent road trip.

The word "hella" belongs on the west coast, particularly the Bay Area. It also belongs in a ricer's vocabulary.

I understand stock for stock it's faster. But I thought with my Mods it would be comparable.

Incentives will just a little come early august. There's a Fully loaded G37 sedan 6MT on sale for 35. Just cuz its white and 6MT it hasn't sold. Someone give me 20G's. Please. I love white on infiniti's. And I dont mind 6MT. It'll suck sometimes in northern VA, but I rarely drive with heavy traffic. and Joe, the FX37 will be awesome. I'll take an FX50 FTW. The FX37 will be running low 14's believe it or not.

Oh ya! I drove on a few weeks ago and I'm sold. Just need to wait out until a second year FX37 comes out to lower the price on the 09's. I'd love to get the FX50...but 60k+ is a bit rich for my blood!

OK, I have to ask, what is 'bad wear' considered? Do you have any pics of what the seat looked like? And how loud did you have to complain to get it replaced?

Reason I'm asking is that there are a lot a small 'cracks' in the left raised section of my driver side seat bottom... No idea what the correct name is, but if you are sitting in the seat, the piece to the left of your butt that rises up and that you have to slide over to get in and out of.... Does that make any sense at all?

Edited to add a picture of the piece of the driver seat I'm talking about - you can kind of see the little 'cracks' in the picture. Is this what yours looked like, or was it a lot worse? I know it's not horrible in mine, but it is a little annoying.

Yup...that's exactly where mine was. I have black leather so it was alot more noticeable. They consider me a pretty good customer because of all my referrals and I myself have had 3 cars through them.

So I brought it up as a concern. No one called me back so I told my dealer Manager to have Infiniti Corporate contact me. She did... we met and I was rather "charming" and she said yes absolutely this should not be worn like that and it's unacceptable for such a luxury brand..

So now they're fixing it.

Nice! My service manager is a guy so I don't think I'll be trying to charm him too much But I do think I'll politely bring it up as a concern the next time I take it in for an oil change. Thanks!

They must have done the whole seat - I don't imagine that there is a way for them to do just a small paneling of the leather...

Just the leather trim is $1500.The reason your seat cost so much is because they had to kill an innocently delicious cow to get the leather. Unfortunately, they won't give you a steak.

That's a negative Marlin1569879874494654684846546

I asked, they only replaced the "butt" part. I think the whole seat is like 6k

I don't know if the air bag sensor is integrated into the seat but that was just short of 3k when I had the recall done. That could make the whole thing an ungodly price. It makes me think twice about all the wear and tear I put on the seat moving it back and forth on enty/exit.
