So i wired my swap myself and im like 99% sure that it is correct.
When i turn my key to the "on" position, i have no light on my ecu but everything works, and the motor cranks. So i put the ka ecu in just to see and it lights up? Does this mean i have a bad sr ecu?

93' 240sx
S13 blacktop
E5 ecu
ka ecu says 28(if that matters)

Thanks

Are you using the plug from the SR's harness or the KA's harness?

Motor can crank with no ecu but it won't get fuel or spark. Test for fuel

maybe i misunderstood you saying it cranks. does it actually run? if so then the light could be bad.

Typically, when someone says a motor cranks, they mean it'll turn over when you turn the key.

It doesn't get fuel or spark..
This is why i think its the ecu, plus it doesn't light up. Is there any way to test it?
And i don't know anyone with this swap near.

You pretty much answered the question for yourself... You would have to put it in someone else's car.. You could try and see if it'll throw codes..

ima say that your ecu is fryed. when i fried my ecu it was because i wired the maf wrong and fried it. after that, the bulb didnt light up. open up the ecu or check the pin wires and check if any of them is melted around the pin.

so i got a new ecu... it lights up and I have spark and also fuel.
Doesn't start now.
TDC it with a stick instead of using the bumps on the crank pulley and it was far from the 2nd bump.
And i stabed the CAS on the right dot.
I can hear back firing.
I don't know where to go from now.

Dude, I wrote an article on how to properly set your timing. 2nd bump and cam gears at 10 and 12. Then stab cas at one dot, and make sure it rotates around to the other dot, and they're lined up in the center. You need to remove your valve cover and do it the right way.
