Things have changed in my life recently and it seems that my S13 can no longer hold my interest. I've have spent months and months and thousands of dollars on it, only to never really be satisified with it. I am seriously considering moving on and getting completely out of this "sport".

I still don't know what I want to do yet.... just sell the whole car as is, or just part it all out and try and recoup some of my money back out of it.

I don't know guys..... what would you pay for something like this? Modifications are in the signature.....

Joe

It happens, you just have to take a break or move on altogether. I was in the same boat a few months back, thought of picking up a comfortable daily and staying away from modifications.

Now look what happened :oface

If you sell all the parts and then sell the 240 shell. I may be interested in picking up that shell if its really clean. Just depends on what's going on at the time. Let me know.

By the way--how did you like the addition of the Horsham chip? Is the change noticeable from a previous set up?

damn Joe... do what I did and sell off all the aftermarket goodies:) I am extrememly happy with my daily driveability and reliability on a mostly stock set up. I beat on it regularly and drive it 40 or 50 miles a day with excellent gas consumption as well! I have had zero problems recently. CA's and 240's can be excellent and affordable daily drivers IMO. What are you going to replace it with if you sell it? I know you have multiple 240's waiting at home for you;) either way you go, good luck man.

I have my S14 now and just want to drive it.

The old lady bought a brand new Scion tC and I just love having a new car and not having to worry about the things I do with my S13. So that is pretty much the motivation behind it all. I just want to drive my S14 and have it look good and get me to work.

I don't know.... still may keep it, still may sell it/part it.

If I do sell, I will probably let it all go for 5k. I'll keep ya posted.

whoah...if you do let me know, unfortunitely, I'm going back to college so money may be tight, but if I have/can get cash I'd be on that like a fat chick on donuts, doode.

And I know what you mean about life. I got layed off from teh job that was supposed to get me my journeyman card. Now I'm just trying to get a decent paying machinist job so I can go back to school. 4-year this time, screw tech schools, they burn me out. I want to get a BS in mechanical engineering.

edit: and xero, move to 'bama and go to school at UAH (university of alabama in huntsville). in-state tuition is a rediculously-low 2800 a year. and its the best engineering school in the state (better than both auburn and the university of alabama in tuscaloosa). you could work for one summer and pay for a year's worth of school.

What do you do with the car? ie: autocross, drag race, street race, road course

That can make a difference.

If you don't use it (hopefully not street racing) you can lose your interest in it .

I've felt similarly. It seems that the more money you put into something, the more you expect from it. When you keep it simple, like NeedCAforS13 mentioned, it can be easier to enjoy it.

i put money in my car all the time. and when i say money i mean a LOT of money. im known to habitually spend $600 on my car in 10-15 minutes. i dont expect squat from it, its just that working on it and adding new parts makes me feel like ive really accomplished something. i get more attached to my car every time i work on it. i cant ever sell it because a) i feel better just sitting in it and b) ive put so much money into it that i would probably lose the price of a nice 3rd gen rx-7 twin turbo if i sold it.

i really do feel better when i drive it though. if ive had a crappy day i can drive it around for 30 minutes and completely forget that anything bad happened that day. on numerous occasions ive been sick and gone for a drive, and when i come back i dont feel sick anymore. i love my car so much.

Tim, things changed, I'm not gonna make it to school for a while as I'm stuck with a super easy, poorly paying graveyard shift job making honeycomb core for airplanes. By the time work gets out, I've lost 2 classes by the time I can make it to my school.

also, to be elligible for in state tuition, I've had to have lived there for a year.

but I've got a small business that will be rolling VERY soon, float knows about it, you all will know about as well, as it'll be very beneficial to all of you.

I'll leave you with one word. (there are other words surrounding my business, but this one will leave the most impact)

Tomei...

If the intercooler/hotpipe/BOV setup will fit on a Redtop S13 SR I'd be interested in buying it off you. I'd be willing to throw in my stock SMIC and piping setup as a partial trade if you need them.
