This is going to be a long one so...

Well I've been doing so much reading and research I think my brain might just melt. I still have a ton of questions, so many in fact that I'm not even sure what to ask.

Let me give you a little more insight to my situation:I suppose I'm your stereotypical "I wanna boost my KA on a budget" guy, but even after reading all the FAQs and 101 stuff (which has been extremely helpful), I'm still so lost and confused.

In theory, installing a reliable turbo setup is fairly straightforward and shouldn't be too hard, but then I start getting into all the fine details of making this happen and it seems that every single aspect of the installation becomes it's own small battle to simply make a small and reliable amount of boost.

I'm just rather overwhelmed with all the information and tips and suggestions and so on. But, on another note, I really think I've gotten a pretty damn good grasp at how to go about making my own setup and boosting my KA without dropping three and a half grand on the Greddy superduper holy balls kit. The thing is, I don't have tons of money, and I prefer to do things myself. If I get all the necessary parts together and have everything ready to go on, I'm left with one sort of final question: what now?

This sounds kinda stupid and I really would appreciate it if you didn't just flame me and make me feel like crap, but I'm not sure of how the entire installation process would go over with all the running of lines and pipes and wires and goodies and blah blah. I think that with a DIY kit I would have to really customize my setup (which is what I want of course) but I don't know what I would need to do to properly achieve this...if that makes any sense at all.

I think it would be just freaking great if I could meet another person that has made their own kit and installed it so I could just see it in person and really get a hands on look at things so hint hint to anyone that reads this if you're within like 2 hours of Birmingham, AL lol.

If you have some clear pictures of your setup that shows any and all parts of the overall installation that would be great as well...I seem to have lost my direction in this post as well so I understand if your response is something along the lines of "lolwut?"

Sorry about the amount of rambling to read through, but thanks for any input in advance :/

get a dvd from 240sxtechdvds for $25 and jgs kit (http://jgsturbo.com/index2.html) for a $1500 instead of greddy for $3k... add to it $200 for a cheap intercooler setup and $500 for a nopaintheass jwt ECU - saves you a lot of money. And everything will be explained and easy to do!if you want to do it even cheaper - RESEARCH, READ, STUDY... (like I do)

find a name brand turbo(used is fine if you know what to look for I paid 40 bux for my turbo..), buy a name brand fmu(long as you only want 7ish psi). Knock 3~5* off the base timing

Go on eghey(you said budget I dont wanna hear ish) get a manifold,IC kit, wastegate, oil feed/return kit, bov, down pipe(or flange and some pipe like I did for about 20 bux and some time welding, thats if you can weld),radiator for better cooling I know I need one badly.

once its all there remove all the stock intake stuff along with the stock exhaust system, run the oil feed line(note you need to get a pan with a return bung or make a hole without getting any metal in the pan). Now IMHO with an ebay mani remove the BMC 2 nuts, install manifold(with waste gate). Clock your turbo if needed now, I went with the garrett recommended IIRC 37* from vertical, kinda aimed at the oil pan . Install oil return line to turbo, slide that snail on the manifold. Install feed line. Install d/p. Install lower part of return line. Install(more like cut fit cit fit) the IC piping, and intercooler. Thats about it.Assuming you have a wideband and walbro fuel pump...
